Post the contents of your .ffs_batch.

Does the .ffs_batch need a line in there telling it to Quit, AutoClose="true, is it?

As you can see, yesterday I had several backups from the FFS batch file which runs from task scheduler. This happens regularly, usually a few days after my last reboot and continues until I reboot.

What is the method automatically do the sync without having to press another button after FFS completes the compare function?

I know batch files can do this. Can I do it from the FFS screen?

Does this service then make the data unreadable/unusable if you lose access to that service?

A couple of years ago I used BoxCryptor for that purpose.
They still exist, and there is even a free version (for personal use).
Check them out.
At least then, it worked perfectly together with FreeFileSync.

I have 1tb of adobe online storage. I can copy any files I want to a specific folder on my laptop, then those files will be automatically synced to the adobe cloud.

Maybe I'm paranoid but I don't trust the cloud.

Ah, good to know. Does this happen enough to be worrisome for the average "not essential" nightly "just in case backup" sync? Like the next night it will be corrected?

If I have fail-safe file copy off, the worst thing that will happen is a file will not get synced to my backup, right? And I assume that will be in the log? Then next time it runs, it will sync it?

It is very strange, because it is just a hard drive hanging off my router. FFS successfully synced thousands of files, but these few files it could not delete. I was able to easily delete them from the drive just through windows explorer.

Anyone?

I'm getting some error messages in my logs relating to deleting files on the "sync to" drive.

Can anyone explain what could be causing this and how to resolve?
