That's the answer. Many thanks. I had tried a search before postiing, but it didn't flag that.

Maybe an earlier instance of FFS hung in memory?
Quit FFS, check Task Manager & see if any "freefilesync" still show up?

Remind.wav says its set for "unattended error".

So also maybe something is noted in your logs?

Ta. I deleted all instances and restarted, but it came back.
Nothing noted in ...

Every few seconds, FreeFileSync plays remind.wav. However, there is no dialog box and no sign of what is causing it. I know that it is FreeFileSync playing it from a diagnosis using Procmon. Any suggestions?
