Re: Linux PPA still at 6.9 when current release is 6.14

The precompiled version from Ubuntu used to be compatible with Linux Mint. Obviously one of the latest Ubuntu updates introduced a newer version of libstdc++ not available on Mint (yet). If possible, an update to ...

Re: Linux PPA still at 6.9 when current release is 6.14

FreeFileSync versions on Windows and Linux are using different database file names, so there is no conflict. The issue is likely that FFS 6.14 on Linux is not backwards compatible to the 6.9 version anymore. Simplest solution is sync with 6.9 first, then upgrade to 6.14 (use the precompiled Ubuntu ...

Linux PPA still at 6.9 when current release is 6.14

When I Try to update my Linux Mint 17 implementation of FFS using apt, it reports that the version on the PPA is current (version 6.9) with that already on my machine. Are there any plans to update the version on the PPA to 6.14? I'm getting an invalid database error when I run the different ...

Sync Files from Ubuntu with Windows Network

I just installed Ubuntu 13.04 and freefilesync on it. I am trying to access a directory on a Windows machine on the same network to do a sync. I can 'see' the directory from the Ubuntu explorer program but when I try to access from FFS the network is not there. If I copy smb://windows-computer/My ...

Re: XML Errors after updating from 3.16 to 3.17

Thank you for the converter program (and for FreeFileSync itself!). When I use
the converter on some of my lesser used ffs_batch files I get the following
error message:

Error parsing configuration file: "XXXXX.ffs_batch"
Could not read values for the following XML nodes
<LogfileCountMax>

I ...

Re: XML Errors after updating from 3.16 to 3.17

Is there anyway of doing the migration of the ffs_batch files automatically? I
have more than 50 of them and doing it manually is a nightmare and I am bound
to get someting wrong. Please can I suggest that if this happens again that it
is made clear to users that there is going to be an issue, or ...

XML Errors after updating from 3.16 to 3.17

I am getting the following message repeatedly when I upgrade from 3.16 to

Could not read values for the following XML nodes:
<Variant> <LeftOnly> <RightOnly>

The message continues, but I cannot copy and paste the text. I have a ...

Nothing to Sync Reported in Error

Using v3.12 in batch mode, I get a message saying "Info: Nothing to
synchronize according to configuration" even though it has just synchronized
some files - and an inspection shows that the synchronization seems to be
happening fine. I have only noticed this incorrect message since upgrading to
