Re: Portable Version of FFS

Portable Version of FFS
Sorry, I must be blind somehow. Where do I find the portable version of FFS?
What I did find is the .exe, which I presume we've to install it.

Re: Keep Folder timestamps
I totally agree. Also, I just don't understand why zenju feels this feature is not necessary and had refuses to have this feature numerous times.

Re: Can I keep file's date ?
YES, I do need it badly. I've many directories and I sort based on dictectory creation dates. I've intention to merge 3 hard disks into one mega hard disk and I really need to know which directory was created earlier than the other. Please confirm that this feature be incorporated. I read I can use ...

Re: Compare vs Synchronize
Sorry, may I clarify further with you?
Say, I've created a mirror configuration for hard drive A to be backup to hard
drive B.
Hard Drive A has file 1, file 2, file 3.
Using the mirror configuration, the 3 files are copied to Hard Drive B.
Then, I added file 4 to Hard Drive A and amended ...

Re: Compare vs Synchronize
Thanks. How do I create a batch job?
May I also know if I use the mirror configuration, after the first mirror
backup, if I again use a mirror configuration for subsequent backups, will FFS
write over all those files that had remained the same since the first backup,
or will simply skip those ...

Compare vs Synchronize
I've mirrored a hard drive A to another hard drive B.
After that, I added new files and changed some files in hard drive A. So, I
intend to mirror hard drive A with hard drive B again.
My question is:
1. Do I have to do a "Compare" before I can do a "Sychronize"? I realized that compare ...

Re: If I do a mirror, does it mean cloning?
Is there any plan to include MBR and boot loader?
FFS is such a wonderful product and I will tell you why. I've tried a few
products that claim to be able to handle long filenames but they do not work.
Not only that, these software will tell me the drive had been successfully
copied but when I ...

If I do a mirror, does it mean cloning?
If I do a mirror of my C Drive, which is also my system drive, does it mean
that when my C Drive crashes and I restore the mirror to a new hard drive and
use this new drive to be my new C Drive, will I be able to boot up my PC, as
if I had done a cloning of my C Drive? Is this the same as cloning?
