Re: Only first set of left and right folders are updating
Thanks Plerry. There was no log because the job never finished. Here is the problem and the solution that I discovered. I was using volume labels, for example: [VolLabel], for the right location. I manually typed the square brackets and labels for the second and third pairs. When I instead used the ...

Only first set of left and right folders are updating
I am using a FreeFileSync batch that contains three left and right folder pairs to mirror from left to right. I am running the batch from a scheduled task in Windows Server 2019. Only the first pair of folders are updating. The second pair and the third pair never update. Do I need to do something ...

Re: When to use LockDirectoriesDuringSync
The documentation is ambiguous. In the first reference it says "writing" and in the second reference it says "read and write". If the feature is unnecessary for my environment then I would like to disable it because it sometimes leaves orphaned sync.ffs_lock files.

When to use LockDirectoriesDuringSync
I have approximately 20 concurrent FreeFileSync batch processes. Each FreeFileSync process writes to a different destination folder. Do I need to use LockDirectoriesDuringSync? Thank you.

Transfer file and folder permissions
I checked the box for "Copy DACL, SACL, Owner, Group" but when I view the security properties on copied folders and files none of the original permissions are there. Is there something else that needs to be done to get the permissions to transfer?

Re: Files have the same date but a different size
The file properties in File Explorer show a different "Size" but identical "Size on disk". This is all very odd because the source file had not been changed by a user and the created and modified dates and times are identical on both the source and the target. Only the size is different, and I can't ...

Re: Files have the same date but a different size
But FreeFileSync is saying that the file SIZE is different while the date and time are the same. The files have not been modified. This synchronization is from NTFS to NTFS.
