FR: "Move selected files to"
Ctrl+T or context menu allows to copy selected files to another place. It would be nice to have the equivalent move option, too.

Re: USB 3 device not fully utilized?
Well, most files are not copied because they are identical. The copy speed depends on file size and fragmentation on both ends, of course.
Currently both drives are synced, but I will check the transfer speed the next time.

USB 3 device not fully utilized?
I wonder how to find the bottleneck:
I compare 2 HDD by content. FFS compares at ~ 90 MB/s. Both devices are utilized only 40-50% by FFS according to Windows Task Manager.
If I copy files from any drive to the internal ssd using Windows Explorer, ~ 175MB/s are reached each.

Re: Issue with Huawei P8 MTP
Thank you for the Clarification. I think this is even more confusing to a User. As this issue is now back I will go back to your last message in the other thread, but not before next week. I really like FFS (and clearly more than GoodSync) so I would really like to help fixing this.

Re: Issue with Huawei P8 MTP
Oh. I tried to find the old topic to find out whether its the same issue but couldn't find it. However, this is slighly different I think (or your implementation changed). As far as I remember the old issue was an non-ignoreable error. The errors can now be ignored but FFS claims that there is no ...

ASK before aborting on ESC press
This was really nasty. I did a content-based comparison which takes more than 10 hours and 10 hours were done overnight. I wanted to send an ESC to my media player and accidentally had FFS in focus. FFS stopped the comparisons immediately rendering 10 hours of runtime useless....

Compare with one directory, but write to another
Is there a way to compare X:\source with Y:\source-backup-2018-01-01 but write new/changed files to Y:\source-backup-2018-06_29-new ?
If not,this is a feature request :)
Thank you

Re: Timestamps Lost, connection errors (used MTP)
Sorry for not answering. I had to reset that phone, did a backup using a tool that ignored the error (named GoodSync) and after resetting the phone the buggy items are gone. So I do not have the problem anymore and I cannot be of any help solving it. However I still think it is easily solvable by ...

well, I don't have the device here right now and the forum software breaks ASCII ART descriptions.

Re: Timestamps Lost, connection errors (used MTP)
I'd like to see the tree of child items, with all their properties and potential error messages.
well, I described the tree of child items :
There are no [natural] names in the tree, just DEVICE then one level deeper [child] item s10001 and one more level deeper[children of s10001] several ...

Re: Timestamps Lost, connection errors (used MTP)
Yes, s10001 has WPD_Object_NAME "Interner Speicher", so all the oXXXX I talked about are child items of "Interner Speicher"
Also the error code in WPD matches the error code that is presented by FFS.

Re: Timestamps Lost, connection errors (used MTP)
Well, there are no Names in the tree, just DEVICE then one level deeper item s10001 and one more level deeper several oXXXX subitems with XXXX being hexadecimal chars. Some items wpd info is not able to get properties for:

Re: Timestamps Lost, connection errors (used MTP)
Well, there is prior text, but no concrete error message. Its just "cannot read". As this is translated based on FFS language setting, it is not part of the Drivers/OSes error message I guess:
"Cannot read directory "mtp:\HUAWEI GRA-L09\Interner Speicher".
Error calling "IPortableDeviceProperties ...

That IS the full error message that is shown to me by FFS. Version 9.8 still the same problem. If there is a Logfile with additional Information please tell me where to find it.

I would appreciate If someone would reply....

I can browse & Copy files in Windows Explorer without any problem

Feature Request: Allow to pause content-based compare
If files are compared by content, this may take hours just like the sync afterwards. So it would be just logical to allow to pause it.
