It fails with an error, which stops the process of syncing. I just figured out that I can check "ignore errors" in Comparison Settings to avoid that.
Btw., it seems to me that the "ignore errors" checkbox should be under the Synchronization Settings tab, not Comparison Settings. I never really knew ...

Re: donation
You're making it more complicated than necessary... Just donate something. There's no mandatory renewal as far as I know. Why does it have to be the absolute minimum anyway, why not give 5 dollars/pounds or maybe more? It's worth it to keep the project going. Probably you could donate just 1, but ...

Re: File types in filter configuration
I'd also appreciate the ability to exclude socket files, in particular. There are a number of them on my Mac, and they don't necessarily have any particlular file extension, so it's not possible to use a wildcard. They stop the sync process, so I had to enter every pathname into the exclude filter ...

Re: Dark mode
The green background is too bright here:

And some of the text like "Identify equal files" here is too dim (actually it's too dim in light mode too) and the links are a little too dark blue:

But nothing really bad.

Re: Dark mode
I would say the theme is not perfect, but it's good enough for me, and it's a major improvement over the light theme for my eyes, so I'm quite happy with it... The main thing I notice is that the icons in the destination side, that display what's going to happen (green arrow etc.) and the file icons ...

Re: Dark mode
@kxc, thanks for the "defaults write" tip to get dark mode on Mac, exactly what I wanted! I had no idea it was already available.
Maybe this should be the default setting (follow the System appearance for dark or light mode)? I think a lot of other people would like this, so if not the default, it ...

Re: Time of "Last Sync" not updated
This might be fixed already, but I'm reporting it anyway, maybe it helps:
I'm also seeing "last sync" with inaccurate number of days. I don't have any scheduled tasks or "run command after sync". I just do manual syncs. I have half a dozen configurations for backups that I run each time, about once ...

Re: "Detect moved files" fails on Mac after restart
That's great! Using the new version, my backup time was reduced from 15 minutes to 15 seconds... thanks very much!

Re: "Detect moved files" fails on Mac after restart
It would be great if this could be fixed! I used to use GoodSync (until they went to a subscription model), and it does this no problem on Mac. I was very happy when I found FFS, it does pretty much everything GoodSync did (and some things even better) and it's open source. But this one feature is ...

"Detect moved files" fails on Mac after restart
"Detect moved files" works as expected on my Mac - but only until I restart the computer. After that, it won't detect them anymore, and wants to erase and re-copy the file.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Set up a "mirror" sync, check the "Detect moved files" box, then run the sync.
2. Move a file on the ...

"Detect moved files" not working after some time
I'm doing some "mirror" backups, and have "detect moved files" checked. At first testing, everything works as expected: if I move a file into a subfolder, then it says it will "move file on right". But if I come back to the job some days later, it doesn't work, it wants to delete and then copy again ...
