I need to get hold of the portable version which also includes many more features. Requires a donation but what is an acceptable donation which would secure the special version ? And would it be a yearly payments ?

You did not answer my specific question. Is there a minimum acceptable donation amount ? Even 1 dollar or 1 pound is a donation but is that acceptable (probably not). Need to know the minimum threshold that constitutes a donation

You're making it more complicated than necessary... Just donate something. There's no mandatory renewal as far as I know. Why does it have to be the absolute minimum anyway, why not give 5 dollars/pounds or maybe more? It's worth it to keep the project going. Probably you could donate just 1, but after transaction fees, the devs aren't going to get much of that.
