Hi Zenju - thanks for the reply! Sounds good. I will try it after the release... I found a workaround this weekend:

I created a "sync job" on another PC (Windows) with Google Drive ...

Does anybody have any suggestion? e.g. is it possible to authenticate google drive on another pc and transfer the "authentication" to the machine i have the issue with?

I am stuck right now... Would be great to receive some hints.

unfortunately I ran into another issue:

if I try to add connection for Google Drive in FFS the default browser starts, I am able to login to my Google account, but after pressing "allow" the browser only shows "Waiting for 127.0.0.1" (probably the local webinterface?) indefinetly ...

It seems you've logged into your desktop session as "root" and this is the only user available?

I've updated the installer to support this scenario. The "Install for all users" option will be fixed to "YES" and "Create desktop shortcuts" is fixed to "NO". This doesn't seem to be a limitation in ...

Hi Zenju - it still just exits. So i tried your suggestion - at least there is some failure message:

Did you change something in the installation ...

I think there is an error and the installer quits rather than waiting on a prompt.
Fixed! Please download 11.8 again and retry.

Just downloaded the donation edition again --> no change... This is really frustrating....
Maybe the "new version" of 11.8 was not uploaded ...

Hello community - any thoughts? Are there more information I need to provide?
I am not able to use FFS on my Linux environment (Lubuntu), because I am not able to install 11.8.

Would be great to receive some kind of hint how to solve the issue.

If i run the .run file, nothing happens:
FFS_Execute.png

if i press run in Terminal "Accept license terms?" is shown:
FFS_Terminal.png

after i press "y" --> terminal closes and nothing happens.

with 11.6 the run routine works:

I misread your first post; I thought you had not provided any output of "ip a." I'm guessing Zenju will fix his tool to handle the previously unexpected input of "eth0@if83" which is a style of network card name I've never seen before, and I'm guessing he hasn't either.

That's right, it should be fixed with the next version, release planned for latter today.

My Setup is Ubuntu runnung LXDE in an LXC - so no VM but a container. PROXMOX is the host (but that should not influence the FreeFileSync, should it?)
