Filter specs are relative to the Left and Right location of your sync pair.
A filter can never include an absolute path.
Try adding *\test\* in your exclude filter.

Re: Is it possible to backup to 2 different locations
If the type of sync is the same (mirror, update or auto/bi-directional) for the two destinations A and B, you should be able to use just a single sync, defining a first, and a second Left/Right pair. The first pair could be (L) source / (R) destination A the second pair (L) source / (R) destination ...

Re: How Do I Enter A NAS Network Drive Username and Password
If the Buffalo NAS uses some sort of web-page based authentication, you are likely out of luck, unless you enter into some serious scripting. If the Buffalo uses the standard SMB/CIFS authentication, and you are running FFS on a Windows machine, you should be able to manage and store the user/passwo...

Re: Question regarding sync setup and same destination for two different sources
Your approach seems to conflict with the essence of a mirror sync. Nevertheless, there are probably multiple ways of ultimately achieving your intent. The most obvious one seems to: add a symbolic link to source_B\Folder_B in source_A\Folder_A, and run just a single FFS mirror sync source_A\Folder_A...

Opening ffs_gui files opens (surprize, surprize ...) the FFS GUI (Graphical User Interface) with the setting stored in the ffs_gui-file. The compare and sync only start upon user interaction. It seems the best you can do is to make a batch-script that checks the availability
of the server or of the ffs_batch-file, and only if available invokes FFS.

Re: Feature to allow or select newer Files automatically if conflict detected
Generally spoken: a conflict signals you have a problem! If only one side has changed since the last 2-way sync, there is no conflict, and the newer file will be marked to be copied over to the other side. If you do have a conflict in your 2-way sync, it means that the file at stake has changed at b...

Once you are at this point ... 1) Don't use any software that would write anything to the stick It might overwrite any data still on your stick and make it unrecoverable. 2) Use any suitable "Undelete" tool that suits your operating system and can handle Fat32. Just do a search for undelet...

Look into BoxCryptor (Classic). BoxCryptor is a file-level encryptor, and as such quite a nice companion to FFS. It allows you to create one or more encrypted folders, that appear in unencrypted form as (virtual) drive(s) after you enter (or locally store) the encryption key. By using FFS to sync be...

At least in Windows, you can achieve this yourself by using the "runas" command ... See http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/runas.mspx?mfr=true Your "program" here would be something like "C:\Program Files\FreeFileSync\FreeFileSync....

As a workaround, you might want to look into using the FileTimeTolerance
parameter (see the FFS Help), which can help you bridge the "gap" of 1 hour.
