The Time Span Filter works just like Include/Exclude Filter. All files that are not in scope of the sync are left untouched, and will not get deleted or overwritten. similar to a Windows xcopy command with the /t option
(or /t /e if you also want to copy empty folders in the source tree)

You can realize that yourself, by using a script that evaluates the FFS exit code.

Assuming you do not checkmark "Use database file to detect changes":
A Mirror sync will overwrite a right-side file that is different (in size and/or date) by the left-side file, even if the right-side file is newer.
An Update sync will leave a newer right-side file intact.

In the worst case, your GlobalSettingsNoVerify.xml is not updated to reflect the most recent syncs that were run.
