Hey There,
Was wondering if a new function could be looked at. I do a backup of a game system that has lots of internal directories. However I'd like to be able to do a smaller backup, leaving out a number of directories. At the moment if I browse for a folder to sync I can select one, could it be possible to select multiple directories on each side that would correspond to their opposite directory and mirror only what I select? I hope I am making sense here, what do you think?

FreeFileSync (FFS) offers multiple possibilities.
Depending on your use case either one or a combination might do the job.
1) You can use multiple left-right base-folder pairs (via the green "+"-icon in front of a left-right pair).
You can even have different (local) Compare, Sync and Filter settings per left-right pair.
2) You can use Include and/or Exclude Filter rules to only include specific files or folders and/or exclude specific files and folders.
You can manually edit the Include and Exclude Filter (via the red funnel-icon), or run a Compare, select a file or folder, and via the right-click context menu add that file or folder to your Include or Exclude Filter.

Thanks for the reply. The thing Is I am looking at hundreds of folders, using the +icon to make hundreds of different compares would be beyond tedious and the folders change to often to make that viable. Same with include or exclude. Thus point and click to block a heap of directories would be ideal.

It would be cool if you could drag a selection of directories to the left/right side to auto-populate the rows. This would then require an option to select a base location for all rows on the other side and have it autofill with the final directory. Expanding this to allow dragging items into the filter boxes would also be pretty slick
