in a folder i have +300k files and sometimes when i synchronize it , it takes a minute or 2 , sometimes is like 30 seconds , and today is 1 second ... and no , i do not have the database enabled
I am guessing is doing some sort of file change monitoring somewhere ,
Is there a way to clear that cache or delete the file or reset it , to force it to rescan all the files ?
300k files sometimes it scans them sometimes not

Is this causing an issue or you just don't like it?

It seems you run a sync in FreeFileSync (FFS) and after the sync has finished leave that FFS instance open and then expect FFS to continue keeping both sides in sync.... i need to restart the appbogdandumitrescu, 23 Oct 2025, 23:59
That is not the case. You need a renewed Compare before running a renewed sync.
If you left the FFS app open, then, as xCSxXenon wrote, you need to click Compare manually.
If you closed the FFS app and open it again, a Compare is always performed , whether you click Compare or directly Synchronize.
FFS does not continuously monitor for changes.
That is what RealTimeSync (RTS), that comes with FFS, is for. RTS monitors for changes in specified folders (and their subfolders) and upon detecting any such changes launches FFS to run a specified sync.
