Hi,

Is there a way to start RTS with windows startup and minimized?
I can add the program to the start shell but then I need to minimize it manually and I would like to it be automated.

Don't place RTS itself into the start location. Save an RTS config and put the configuration in the startup location

No I don't mean that. You need to create the .ffs_batch configuration and then import that into RTS to automatically fill in the locations and command line. You can then save that as a .ffs_real configuration and put THAT into the startup folder. When saving the batch config, make sure to check 'run minimized' and 'auto-close'.

I didn't say that the driver is not connected to the PC on a regular basis.
Therefor, I get an error message that the driver is not found upon start up.
I just need the program to run on startup and stay minimized in case I connect my drive.
I also tried the Task Scheduler with /Background option but I get an error the C:/Background cannot be found.

Ah, I se what you are trying to do! The error in Task scheduler is because you need to use double quotes when you are using a path with spaces in it. Spaces in a command are interpreted separately unless contained within quotes.

You may want to resave the .ffs_batch config and check 'ignore errors' then

I realize now that I need the RTS to run and then START so it will be shown in the task icons near the clock.
Is there a way to just run the program and START automatic?

Have you tried just putting a shortcut to RTS in your Windows Autostart folder? That's how I do it and RTS starts and sits quietly in the task bar when I startup the PC. I used instruction under heading...

Thanks a lot, this helps and I also understood where I went wrong.
I created the batch file and put it in the external disk and targeted this batch file and not the batch file created by the SyncFree program which is in my Documents folder.
Creating a shortcut works as expected and I prefer working with the Task Scheduler but it works only with the logged in user option and trigger "in Login" option rather then working with SYSTEM.
This I need to research but overall works. Thanks a bunch.
