while i had no issue using freefilesync under windows7, since i migrate my laptop/desktop computers to ubuntu 16.04 (KDE) i have issues with several directories/files about socket as following:
Type of item "/home/alain/.dropbox/command_socket" is not supported: 0140000, socket
How to avoid that issue and why is it raised ?
i run filesync with root privilege as i sync my whole /home directory with hidden/system files/dir.
My first thought was it was a "virtual" object.
And that kind of seems like that is the case, What is a socket?
Did the same work in Windows (or was it simply ignored, or was the same in Windows handled in a different manner such that the issue didn't present itself)?
if error is raised because of the virtual aspect of a socket.... there will be more issues later on.
By the way, a socket is not so virtual as it is relative to an app, a protocol, a port and an IP... soif this is virtual, almost everything in computer world is virtual.
Or maybe i wrongly understood what do you mean by "virtual".
Moreover it worked great under windows 7, no error message.
Here under ubuntu it definitively stopped and wait for my action
