Hello. I have a problem with free file sync. Basically (I state that already use on other 3 pc) I recently bought a new PC and installed free file sync. But when I go to make a backup file, the program creates a file is in the source folder is in the destination called "sync.ffs_lock" and procedures freezes and does not go forward, and I have to manually end. I apologize but I do not know if I understand what you asked me. I try to explain the problem, and describe step by step what I do and the problem that gives me. In practice I start the program, in the left column I select the folder to be synchronized in the right column I select the folder to be synchronized and updated. Then I try to do before the comparison between folders, where at the end shows me the files are in the folder to the left and to be copied in the right one. Now at this point start the synchronization and the program is now in the block (if I open the task manager, free file sync, not responding and I have to finish the process) and I create a file in any folder (both left to right) called sync. ffs_lock.
Point out that these settings are the same settings that I use on other PCs that I have. I also did other tests such as synchronizing folders on the same hard disk, synchronize folders between two external hard drives, I tried changing USB ports. The result is always the same.

Alright, thanks for the context info. Let's find out what is causing the hang:

Download the tool Process Explorer, then reproduce the hang with FFS, start ProcessExplorer, right-click on the FreeFileSync_x64.exe (or *_win32.exe if you're on 32-bit Windows), select "Create Dump" and then "full dump". Next, compress this file and send it to me via email (see FFS's about dialog). This should help me find out what FFS was doing during the hang.
