Hi,
I'm using FFS version 10 (checked for latest update) on Ubuntu 18.04. I recently moved from Linux Mint 16.04 with no problems, to Ubuntu 18.04 now with a problem. FFS works very well on my own internal home network and I can backup from my newer NAS to a second very old NAS with no problems.
I also backup to my friend's NAS over a VPN using his 192.168.0.2 internal IP address. I can copy using the standard Nautilus file manager from my NAS to my friends NAS with no problems. But when I use FFS to copy my new photos across FFS responds with an error can't lock folder error 22. After then ignoring errors, I ended up with a load of zero length files with .tmp extension.
See screen shots.
Can anyone help please?
Many thanks
Rabjo

I assume copying via command line (cp) "works"? In this case, can you create an strace log to show what it's doing differently?

Can you help please, I'm at a loss to understand how to replace the COMMAND_TO_TRACE with something sensible, surely it can't be freefilesync? Yes I can use Nautilus to copy files across to the other server with no problem, but as you can see FFS creates a temp file then it errors.
How do I use strace within FFS?
