Hi FFS community
Let me first say that I think FFS is the best free program I've ever used. I really mean it. It is phenomenal how well it works, and how easy it is to use (I'm no computer expert). I've used versions for about a decade, to back up a large collection of digital music (now about 8TB).
A question for me has just come up, as I'm running out of space on one drive and need to send files elsewhere. I have large folder Q on drive 1, which is bigger than either of drives 2 or 3. So I need to split up Q into Q1 (on drive 1) and Q2 (on drive 2). And what I need to do now is compare Q to Q1 -- but not update Q1, but rather send the additional Q files to Q2 (another folder on another drive). Is there a way to do this? I have the comparison, I can generate the file list and look at it in Excel, and I suppose if necessary I could manually drag the files on the list from Q to Q2. But I'd love to know how to do this in FFS.
Hope this is clear! Thanks all, and once again, what an awesome program, cheers,

I'm just rereading my post and realizing it may not be clear. Here's a better way of explaining it.
Q is 4.2 TB. I want to back it up, but the two drives I have for backups aren't big enough. So I want half in Q1 on drive 2, and half in Q2 on drive 3. Comparison shows 9800 files in Q that are not in Q1. But I cannot sync Q1 to Q; drive 2 isn't big enough. I want to take the list of 9800 files generated by the comparison and send them to Q2 on drive 3. (All 3 drives are attached to the same computer.)
Thanks again, cheers

Thanks for this -- looks as if it can't be done in an automated way, so I ended up doing it manually with reference to an exported file list.
