Re: Revert to text log files!
Personally, I kinda like parsing HTML sometimes. Of course, I don't parse form HTML-->TXT files, I parse from HTML-->SQLServer.
If you guys ever need to parse HTML, I *HIGHLY* recommend this function.. But DON'T read the licensing terms, because then you won't use it! Just PRETEND it's open source ...

- have a S:\Personal directory
- have a S:\Code directory

Re: SFTP Comparison and file list building
you mean, like you use a 'DNS C-name' to do this? Is that what you mean by 'dummy entry in the HOSTS file'?
Yeah, I've used a lot of C-names over the years. I couldnt' survive without my own DNS servers at home and work and in my self-hosted playgrounds.
While I'm posting.. is there a subreddit ...

Re: Feature Request: tag based synchronization
I spend a lot of time writing URLs to a database and including TAGS in that data. Tags and other hierarchies like 'categories' and other stuff like that in wordpress are EXTREMELY powerful and flexible.

I've been looking for something that will sync 'to Nextcloud'. It seems like everyone's been talkign about 'SeaFile' and "nextcloud'. I don't get the brouhaha. But if I had a better sync tool, I'd use NextCloud for EVERYTHING. As it is, I use google drive for everything.

Re: Please consider adding dedupe (delete duplicates) function
Uh, I use 'Windows Server' for deduplication purposes. In SOME situations (like virtual machines) it can save me 75-90% of my disk space. I am ALWAYS running out of disk space. I get SOME copies of Windows Server for free from my M$ certifications, and I always run a couple of machines on the trial ...
