Just started using FFS scenario

#1 from PC(source) to external EXT HD(target) UPDATE mode and then use on notebook. Once I connect back to PC and some files were changed or deleted.

#2 if I use TWOWAY mode how do I prevent deleted files on EXT HD from also being deleted on PC
i.e. mistakenly ...

OK, tried to sync today 3/7/24
D:\Coal Mine History Project on PC HD
F:\Coal Mine History Project EXT USB HD
FFS shows it wants to move photos in F: subfolder(coal mine photos) to same subfolder on D:
attached screen capture shows the files are present in file explorer.

I'll try to run again from D: to F:
and post my results in a few days.

Attached is screen photo. This was after I tried to run sync, before that files were shown on both sides showing what files were missing on each side with arrow showing if files needed sync left or right.

Like I said when first run from D: to E: it worked
Then when run again ...

Please explain why it wouldn't sync both folders to be the same on each HD D and F?

Yesterday I ran a folder sync from D: to E:
Today ran folder sync from D; to F: for copy backup and got this

The following folders are significantly different. Please check that the correct folders are selected for synchronization.

D:\Coal Mine History Project <->
F:\Coal Mine History Project ...

I'm learning FFS and did my first sync

From: D:\Coal Mine History Project
To: E:\Coal Mine History Project
task completed and directory checks ok on size and files except E had 6 more files than D. I'll check that soon

I ran FFS again with same locations to check file count since being different ...

I'd like to have copy of documents folder on OD and use FFS to copy to external hard-drive. I have explorer on PC but some of the files are still in cloud(70GB) but on PC only 8GB. What's the best way to get all 70GB sync to hard-drive?
