Is there a way to format the text in the synchronization job names in the configuration list with bold or italic type? I know I can change the background color of each listing. Thanks.

Re: Permissions problem between Mac OS Mojave and Catalina
Problem solved! I'm not sure if this solution is the best one, or the only one. Nevertheless, for the sake of others who may have the kinds of permissions problems I had in Mac OS with FFS, here's how I fixed it: I erased the content of the main synced directories on my target location, my MacBook ...

Hey, Mac users! I had recently updated my Macbook Air to Catalina and have since downgraded it back to Mac OS Mojave. I'm getting this error code now when I try to sync my iMac (also Mojave) with my MacBook Air. I've ensured that "everyone" has permission to read and write for everything on the ...

Permissions problem between Mac OS Mojave and Catalina
I sync an iMac with a Macbook Air with FFF. I upgraded the MacBook Air to MacOS Catalina (the iMac is still using Mojave), and now when I start a sync, FFF reports it cannot set directory locks for the synced folders (see screenshot). I've tried rewriting the volume path and resetting the permission ...

I just updated to FFS 10.13 for Mac. I'm getting a window when I start FFS that reports FFS can't find the version number online. I've downloaded FFS 10.13 several times and tried reinstalling, to no avail. Why am I getting this window?

After a lot of experimentation, I got this task working again. I had to redo the directory permissions, and I instructed FFS to bypass the offending directory--I don't include anything in it, anyway.

Thanks, Falconer. Yes, I've done this to get FFS to work again on my iMac after updating to Mojave, but I sync the files from my iMac to my MacBook Air via my home network. I'm getting Error Code 13 permission denied when I try to sync to my MacBook Air over my home network. The Pictures folder on the MacBook shows the error. All other folders on the MacBook sync just fine, and they all have the same permissions. I don't see an option on the MacBook's System ...

I'm also using FFS v10.4. I have this problem only with backing up one file: Bookmarks.plist in the Safari folder. Permissions seem OK, so I'm stumped.

I hate to ask what to some might seem like a dumb question, but can FFS back up only one file, not its whole directory? You should/must choose the folder location best for you when saving your configuration/sync job and you should give it also a name:

- from the menu File
Oops. Yeah, I had forgotten about that.
