I can see that although it is definitely a feature loss. So, as I say, my workaround will be to be use FFS 12.5 with the /silent switch and then allow AutoUpdate per machine.

What's wrong with building the function into the donate edition and then not releasing it for commercial use? i use FreeFileSync private not for business but i have my onw special Win-Installation Stick with a
Setupcomplete.cmd und if i make a new install of my Windows, FFS will install auomatically silent.

I'm very disappointed that it no longer works and paying €20 just for the silent installation ...

Can you estimate when the new version will come out?

I use a CMD file on my Windows installation stick to install FFS Donation edition silently
and i usually rename the two files (is clearer and simpler)

FreeFileSync_12.1_[Donation_Edition]_Setup.exe --> FreeFileSync.exe
FreeFileSync_12.1_[Donation_Edition]_Setup.key --> FreeFileSync.key

The update interval is one year by default, assuming a €20 donation, and adapted otherwise, e.g. 6 months for a €10 donation.

For 1 Euro i get this "The Donation Edition can be updated on 3 devices until March ...
