Yes - as mentioned the top FFS download link on https://freefilesync.org/download.php is dead at least for me. The Fosshub link works and has been trouble free recently.

This is correct, https://freefilesync.org will be the default location to get new versions. Currently FossHub is the primary mirror linked there, but that could change in principle. In any case:

Why would you want to change the system time while syncing? FFS anyway cannot handle changed system time beyond one hour for daylight saving. A MAJOR failing of the software for those of us who frequently change timezones.

I change timezones quite frequently, recently by 1.25 hours. It is REALLY ANNOYING that FFS wants to to a full sync. Although I only backup 25GB of data, this is a pain. Particularly since I will be changing zone again (by 5.75 hours) in a few weeks. I work around this by resetting the time to the ...

My solution to this is to partition my computer. Then only the files in my data partition need to be backed up. The 100k files in my data drive take 42 seconds to compare to my external drive backup. So no need to pause. My Music, pictures etc partitions, do not need to backed up every day.

Why not just set FFS to mirror right-to-left or update instead of two-way

It used to be impossible to mirror your data to SkyDrive, but OneDrive (MS's new name for SkyDrive) now mirrors fine. So in case anyone is interested, I thought I would outline how I do it.

1. Create your OneDrive folder somewhere outside your data partition if you have one.

I think this or something like it would be a good idea. It took me a couple of years to work out how to schedule, and I am a reasonably competent computer user.

I guess you could just filter it out, then remove the filter when you want it to sync.

It would be useful to backup your filters, so they can reloaded after a reimage for example. I guess this is what Program Save does, but it is not clear, nor defined in Help. Please clarify.
