No, it's not Cloudflare. It's the webhoster. At this time I'm not planning to change web hosting. So you're one of a tiny number of users (probably could count with one hand) who are SOL.

Re: I do not understand what "paire multiples" means (and how to avoid it) !
Ah! Due to the (to me) confusing use of icons in the path, I did not notice that the left and right base locations are identical and thus fully overlap. Not exactly identical, one is D:\Users\Guy\Documents the other D:\Users\Guy\Documents\Entreprise But both essentially contain the same file: D:\Us...

Re: New feature idea
Looks like the following could be an improvement: File listing: clicking the folder part on the left: 1. parent folder on view => jump to line (already implemented) 2. TODO: parent folder not on view: select all child items (instead of selecting the file) => or even better: in both cases do 2!

If the folder item is also part of the current view, then clicking on the left folder part of any file contained immediately jumps to the parent folder line instead.

Re: I do not understand what "paire multiples" means (and how to avoid it) !
The "file" giving problems seems to be a link or shortcut (*.lnk), which points to some file or executable. Likely, the linked-to file is in your left or right location, thus creating said overlap. If so, as described here , you can try to set the Symbolic Link Handling to "As link&q...

Re: FreeFileSync can be set up to issue multiple file accesses in parallel.
xCSxXenon explained "bandwidth". The other reason for multiple threads is "latency": E.g. a file access to the remove server takes 200 ms. The processing time on the remote and local servers takes 1 ms. If you make 10 file accesses single-threaded you wait for 10 * (200 + 1) = 20...

Are you by chance behind some VPN or something else is off with your IP address? The web hoster's security system (which is unfortunately out of my control) seems to feel compelled to do a "browser check", which will obviously fail with the FFS app, which is not a browser.

Spacebar will only remove individual (or all selected) items. To remove an entire directory (tree), spacebar will not work. (Used to, I kind of remember, in the past? Cannot Exclude temporarily a Directory if existent ) There is no such difference. Spacebar works for both files and folders that are...

Apparently Apple broke macOS 10.15 support in their latest Xcode 15?!
I've recompiled the macOS release using an older compiler version which seems to have fixed it. Please download FreeFileSync 13.1 from the homepage again.

I also suspect that the crash might be reproducible with these specific config files. From there, can't hurt (I suppose) to post contents of that /FreeFileSync/ directory & the contents of the files therein. therube, 09 Oct 2023, 15:59

FreeFileSync automatically deletes empty versioning folders. Perhaps in your case, the folders are not actually empty and contain hidden files?

I believe the warnings (if read) would have told OP exactly what's going wrong, and as an added bonus even told which exclude filter to set to avoid the recursive versioning issue.

I've hard-coded the fee calculation until further since it seems (so far) only to affect DE and FR. This should be good enough until PayPal fixes their bug at some unspecified time in the future.

This is due to a PayPal bug affecting donations from France. Paypal is not sending the "fee" amount in the notification message. The bug is reported and acknowledged, ETA (when I had to guess) is days, or weeks. Until then I'm not sure what to do about it as I cannot book the donation with...

OP simply copied an older file over a newer one on the left side. This change is then propagated to the right. That's how "Two way" sync works: https://freefilesync.org/manual.php?topic=synchronization-settings

Re: Log files created every few seconds but Nothing to synchronise
A changing sync.ffs_db file does not trigger RealTimeSync. It's specifically excluded.it contained a hidden sync.ffs_db file and it was this that was constantly triggering the log file. Adrianlag, 25 Sep 2023, 22:06
