In the meantime, I have recreated the deleted folders in the “Revisions” folder, and everything is functioning as expected.
The duplicate post was unintentional. I have not been able to find a way to delete the post.

I tried to test version control. I applied the “Timestamp (file)” parameter. During the first synchronization, I found two folders in the revision folder containing the previous unchanged files with the file extension YYYY-MM-DD hhmmss. So far, so good.
