Although not the sorting option you request: You can re-order your folder-pairs via the black arrow icon in front of all (but the first) folder pairs. But be aware: the order of th…

If the order of syncing matters, you should define multiple syncs and run those in the proper sequence. In your case, first sync your local machine sync to your local folder, and t…

Simply select the desired Delete Files method in the [URL] window. For you, the desired setting seems to be Permanent.

For the record: FFS also shows progress in the notification area while it's minimized. The problem is that Windows (by default) hides the icon, so some (many?) users may be unaware…

For now it works fine as is, thanks for your help ! :)

As already stated above, assuming the Cloud for both syncs above is one and the same location, it will only contain a single ffs_db file with relevant info on both the sync from/wi…

The above reads as a fairly illogical way of running syncs. The more logical approach is to run all syncs versus a single "central" location, e.g. C. So, you would sync A<=>C and B…

You saved me in this hard time with covid-19. Your program has helped my small business be able to keep on running remotely! I cannot thank you enough! I will be donating as soon a…

[Quote] Thank you for your reply. Yes, it is necessary to retain documentation rights for existing documents as well as inheritance rights

I switched... everything, and it's still not working. I'm running FFS on the source computer, now, not the destination. I'm using SMB / Windows File Sharing over VPN, rather than F…

Hello, I saw no responses. Maybe an attach explain better my idea. Into Destination.ffs_db I mean just include the Source files&folders structure, date&time and size. Regards

Thanks for the reply. Yes I could run them consecutively, but that's extra work on my part - I want the tool to do the hard work :) - of course, that means if I want to add a new f…

Related: [URL] FFS is using: [Code] From there on it's up to either wxWidgets or the operating system to pick a decent color (which is apparently not happening in the example).

It's also a very wrong statement and I apologize. The computer I was using has DLP software on it and that was tripping up the USB copying. Moved to another computer and now it's c…

zlib can be a performance bottleneck on fast networks or when the data is already compressed (e.g. zip), therefore it will be an option in FFS 10.24, off by default: [URL]

Hi, I'm getting what I believe to be a false positive by a Microsoft AV scanner on the FFS donation edition 10.23 and getting some grief from our security officer about that becaus…

I have set the backup revisions keep 7 days. But I also want a copy for every month and keep 6 month. How to keep a copy like this: FileA.xls 2020-04-23.xls FileA.xls 2020-04-22.xl…

Or, if large files files need to be replaced, you may be suffering the side effects of FFS's fail-safe file copy feature. See e.g. [URL].

Thanks Plerry for your answer, yes, this is the topology: (folder)Laptop1 <=> PC (folder) PC <=> Laptop2 (folder) PC acts as a server, always up and running with not logged in user…

I think FFS can do that, and cloud-specific features like this would increase the value of the tool. I am a software developer, and my logic is the following. The Google Drive Back…

See the list of FFS exit codes in the [URL].

Well, at least you duplicated [URL].

All of which is irrelevant when used for (at least less frequent) backup purposes (assuming you let HDs hibernate in between backups).

I am aware of the cmd solution, and it is easy but more complicated than FFS ;-) thanks anyway. I did it the Zenju-way and it worked perfectly. Thanks!

[Quote] Perfect, at least FFS has (good?) company. :)

Did you try unchecking the [URL] when saving the batch-file?

To "exclude" everything else, remove "*" from the include section. That star means 'everything'. You should only have a single line for your file in the include section.
