[Quote] You sort of can. You could save each left-right folder pair as an individual *.ffs_gui or *ffs_batch sync configuration. By selecting multiple of those saved sync configura…

[Quote] True in essence, but worded a bit imprecise. After the RTS-launched FFS sync has ended, the next change in the RTS monitored folder(s) will make RTS launch a renewed FFS sy…

> And for which purpose is the Option "comparsion"?... What about being able to detect which files require sync actions ... Besides that: "comparison" is not an Option; it is a man…

[Quote] This is wrong and probably where the confusion is. The configuration files can be stored wherever you choose. FFS doesn't dictate where they go, mine are in my local Docume…

FFS is a syncing program, so there's no way to perform file conversions via FFS. You should have no problem simply mirroring the local GDrive folder to an external drive though. FF…

@daviank, what you missed is that the user ran crontab -l as a regular user, so it was just going to use his user, with no field for setting it because he cannot change it. Otherwi…

Hi, I have good luck synchronizing files to and from my Android phone using SFTP which is the protocol that free file sync supports natively. The SFTP server program that I use on …

FFS uses a LOCK file to ensure only a single FFS session uses a location at a time. It creates it, runs a compare/sync, then deletes it, thus modifying the folder

[Quote] Well, thank you for your efforts but then I am in HUGE trouble!😭

Hi! I want to donate this great application, but I am from mainland part of China, but it disallows me to do so based on my location. What should I do, if I have't a credit card, e…

How about telling us about your setup? Anything here pertain to you, [URL] ?

Same error here. Don't know enough to try anything. First time using FreeFileSync. Looking for an alternative to GoodSync. Help?

Thank you for the reply - Yes, I currently do work out of either directory. WIth your explanation, I now understand the problem. I'll give much thought as to how to modify what I d…

Update and final resolution... The issue does indeed seem to have been a network issue. Without going into all the sordid details, I simplified the network configuration on both th…

Ok, downloaded a second version, actually have 3 different copies and the timestamps are the same on each. It is windows 10 pro last updated version, two different PC's both genera…

Interesting to see that 'variable drive letters' works even without a drive letter lol That's nice!

Maybe those files in the source don't have valid timestamps, thus forcing the current date/time to be used. [URL]

The "reset layout" worked! I am embarrassed that I did not look at that; I assumed something like that would be in Preferences.

[Quote] I solved my problem that way, thanks

I think you would need a new donation entirely. This hasn't been asked ever before though

Thank you for reporting back! Glad it ended up resolved for you

There are multiple .ffs file types, you need to specify exactly which one you have in your startup folder

The issue should be fixed as I've implemented a work around for the next release. ETA planned for later today!

Thank you very much!

On the contrary, that is exactly what that screenshot shows. That is the contents of the downloads folder, with the .zip file I was provided and the 2 files that were archived in t…

Ran into this issue tonight, you need to make sure that FreeFileSync was installed to the /opt/freefilesync/ location. If it was, then you will need to prepend your statement with,…

oops! thanks

I found the plus sign this is a great product now need to figure out how to have it monitor a folder and push to all on change

BTW, I noticed that in the About dialog, only the last Show() must be kept. Having both leads to corruption in the dialog (at the location of the donation text + image)

What about using one of these (as per [URL]), for minimal exception handling? - wxApp::OnExceptionInMainLoop() - wxApp::OnUnhandledException()

Thanks for your support, Zenju. I don't use My Computers on Google Drive, nor do I have plans to use it. And changing the flag LockDirectoriesDuringSync to false as suggested by @P…

Yeah that fixed it. I wonder why the version in such a major repository is so old.

If you don't manage to get FFS launched by RTS, you can always resort to launching your FFS sync as a scheduled task. Obviously, this may not run the sync "as soon as" as a change …
