Run a scheduled task that deleted what you want from that location, but as Plerry said, not in FFS but in Windows itself.

What format is your external drive? If it is exFat, there can be issues. NTFS is best for Windows-only environments.

I have started FFS and RTS in the same way: by manually double clicking on the respective executables. So I guess this shouldn't be the problem?

Found the answers in FAQ: Copying NTFS permissions is not needed in general and is best left disabled. Go to Menu → tools → options and ensure permission copying is unchecked.
