Thanks for the reply. I'm in my busy photography season and can only play with this once in a while. I really like this program. Still learning it though. Thanks again for the help…

Is there a way to backup my Google docs & spreadsheets to my local PC? Syncing does not download these files. It also does not work using Google Backup&Sync program. I realize thes…

Two USB drives: No problem. You may want to use [URL]instead of drive letters. Different file systems: this may create a problem when crossing a daylight saving time transition. FF…

You don't write what left-right base folder combination(s) you are using. But the cause of the problem is almost certainly there. You also do not clearly describe what you aim to a…

Use RTS. It will monitor the two directories. Once you plug it in, it will see the directory, then trigger a sync after the idle delay time you set in RTS.

Okay, I get drift. Thanks very much for your response.

I also had this problem and resolved it by using the tarball from download page. In researching this error message I came across a discussion of this same issue with another applic…

What happens if you copy the file from the Android device manually via Windows Explorer? Does this work? If, yes, what's the target file size after copying?

[Quote] Ok that makes sense then. [Quote][Quote] Ok I'll remember that for the future, I hadn't realised. [Quote] [Quote] That's fantastic - this will definitely make life easier. …

Some/many (S)FTP servers do not preserve file-date when creating a file.

Thanks for confirming! Perhaps an interim solution might be to have the message indicate that pause has been requested, instead of saying it has been paused when it really has not!…

Process explorer did not show anything, I use Nirsoft OpenedFilesView which is much easier to use, with sort by file path. There are only "system" as processes opening "files" in t…

FFS doesn't prioritize anything based on size. It is all based on newer or not existing. Check your sync settings.

Another (obvious) question is: Did you checkmark the Auto-close and Ignore Errors checkboxes when saving the FFS batch job?

wow, that's quite some execution speed here guys... thanks a lot for this speedy fix, can confirm the 10.16beta works now fine and brings the correct calendar week number as return…

ohh ok I see this was paid via paypal linked to different email. I'm sorry! The error message at the end of the transaction may have been caused by this? Ok thank you for your help…

Just re-tested with FFS 10.15, still crashing... It seems that it's my source that FreeFileSync can't handle, and it's very specific: When backing up from the (old) Avid ISIS serve…

Oops. I thought the batch job had the correct comparision and synchronisation settings but I could see when I checked in the FreeFileSync GUI that they weren't. It's working nicely…

Maybe you started RTS with admin rights, in which case Windows does not allow drag and drop from lower-privilege processes as a security precaution.

Reinstall the program first

I see, but theres is no way to detect MTP version in order to exclude for example devices with android 4.3 and lower automatically ?

Indeed the filter is only applied for the files that are considered for synchronization, but not for the versioning folder during the clean-up step ("limit file versions"). The sol…

I am not the author, but I can imagine the author will not be eager to implement this, as it sort of defies the purpose of Versioning. But on second thought you may be able to do w…

Hi Gianni, ISO 8601 doesn't specify what "week_of_the_month" is so I chose to define mine as being relative to the week_number of the week containing the first day of the month. Su…

You need to run the program off of a USB drive. You'll want to put the portable files on the USB drive and open it on your main computer first, to activate. More info: [URL]

You can use [URL] (RTS) for monitoring changes, and use RTS to launch FreeFileSync (FFS) to perform the actual sync.

You simply need to properly define your left- and right-base-folder-pair. The content of the left base folder will be synced with/to the content of the right base folder pair. If y…

You're lucky you only have to wait a minute. For the problem of not being able to dismount the stick during the first minute you could try using [URL] and see if you have better lu…

I'm getting this. I select retry and it continues.

Thanks Zenju. I did a 'flatpak uninstall' to get rid of it. After a bit of experimenting I worked out that installing FFS via the Mint Software Manager sets it up as a flatpak. It …

Oh good, Thank you Pierry, this is exactly what I was looking for! I can disable offline files from Microsoft, that is a complete train wreck. Best Wishes from a rainy Holland..

FreeFileSync (FFS) is, as the name already suggests, acting at file level. So, also Versioning takes place at file level, not at folder level. You wrote:[Quote]This means making an…

File: "C:\Program" Arg: "Files\FreeFileSync................." How does this happen? It seems to me that FFS does not read its own path correctly, since it does not "approve" the sp…
