Thank you @xCSxXenen

Thank you @Zenju.

Also, you are correct that you should be setting the sync to 'mirror' B ---> X. Are you running a compare after making that change? I would like to see a screenshot of the compare …

Hi Guys, A very minor suggested change: In the "Synchronising..." window, the "When finished:" drop-down should probably have default text of "Do nothing", rather than being blank.…

It is possible with OneDrive official client, still you will need some tweaks. First of all OneDrive instances that support WebDav can be done with something like WinSCP which is o…

That's not a problem, running RTS on the destination will work fine.

Hello, I never found how to use FreeFileSync with FTPES protocol, but I found how to configure another NAS with SFTP so now I'm able to use it with this so my issue is solved. By c…

Yes, I understand if another FFS will modify the source, it is better to lock, but in my case the flow of the copy will be always from source to backup computers, FFS while never m…

Is it possible to delete obsolete sync destinations from the pulldown in Linux? The manual says hover and delete. But on Linux, this seems not to do anything...

I no longer see an expiration on my donation page, so maybe removed?

1. No 2. Unsure 3. No

I have done some tests and yes, it works perfect, it is immediate if I create, modify or delete some file, it is notify at the moment.

Hi everyone, I am using freefilesync for synchronising two remote folders and I must admit it is working quite well. I just have a request, if possible : I have made several tests …

Sounds good, any way to improve detect moved/renamed files should be considered.

FFS remembers the last place you saved/opened them

Yes

[Quote] Now there's something for FFS to improve! FFS should first consider the HOME environment variable, then fall back to getpwuid(getuid())->pw_dir. This is default Linux behav…

Excellent ... thank you very much! Sid

There will never be something like that.

What differences? Syntax differences are the only thing I really encounter, which anyone that can successfully use Linux probably knows already.

You can just click the '-' symbol to remove a folder pair. It doesn't permanently remove it from the config unless you click 'save' after removing a pair.

Gotcha! You can only set a shortcut to run as admin if it points to an exe. It sounds like you have a shortcut to the .ffs_batch file, which is why you can't check that box. You wo…

Thank you, I'll give it a try.

This option is available in tools like Carbonite and Gs Richcopy 360 , maybe there is way via FSS but really have no idea

Hello, Is planed to intergrate a webbased console for using FreeFileSync on a Server ? Thank you.

Do you know what a VPN is used for? It's more than just a "privacy" or "pirating" tool. It's used to connect to a remote network to access its local resources, like connecting to a…

I want to donate but can't use PayPal, and won't use my credit card. Do you have a Patreon account perhaps? Love supporting Indies like you. Cheers!

"File content" comparison will do that: [URL] PS: Unless you've pulled the power plug, it's unlikely there is any data corruption, and the sync most likely did finish just in time.

Unfortunately this did not work either. I modified some music styles (genres) in Audio Expert, validated the change using MP3TAG which showed the change and then sync. Changes not …

Dupe request: [URL]

Using Two-way sync, FFS will only delete files if those same files were (non-FFS) deleted from the other side. Otherwise FFS will copy those files to the side where they do not exi…

Yes, I know? That's why I said, "that's a whole program dedicated to a single file type." Setting up FFS to not detect timestamps isn't the fix either. Read the whole thread again.…

Ctrl+T or context menu allows to copy selected files to another place. It would be nice to have the equivalent move option, too.

The tmp files are on a file-by-file basis, not for whole directories.

Will be nice to have a NAS/SHARE authentication instead of user authentication. I do a backup from different NAS and servers and each one have is own authentication. I save each us…

I was able to get it installed but the FFS has a few issues. I must start FFS from a command line. No big deal. However, the terminal repeatedly displays "Loading IM context type '…
