Try out enabling [URL] in the synchronization Settings. Unless you are changing the name of the left- or right-root-folder (as opposed to any of its subfolders), this should do the…

"Me too!" - thanks for fixing. That was confusing for a while there. TIL Windows 10 can have duplicate file names in a folder.

I recommend you check your watcher configuration. As to your case, I had setup a SFTP server and a local folder. Then, I used the following code: [Code] I tested it out with two te…

Hi, I have Drive File Stream installed to sync my Google Drive to my laptop. Drive File Stream makes a drive "G" available that acts just like a regular Windows drive (or seems to)…

You are right. SP2 is not R2 as in link disgussion. SP2 is like Windows Vista, R2 is like Windows 7. But file system managent is the same, why? Thanks for everything...

You can [URL] at once. You would define four folder pairs, your four different (source) folders as the left root locations and your single (destination) folder as the four right lo…

I have a dual-boot laptop with Windows 10 and Fedora. I usually use Fedora, but sometimes need Windows. Because Fedora can read from the Windows volume, but not vice-versa, I keep …

Hi, the manual says there's an ftp configuration dialog that pops up after clicking the cloud icon, but I cant find either. Where is the ftp dialog? Where is the cloud icon? Using …

You can change the GlobalSettings.xml file according to need. See [URL].

Obtain authorization to procure that file.

[Quote] Please stop spamming this on every thread with slow operation. That seems to have worked for you and maybe one other person, it's not the "end all be all" answer to slow sp…

Can you tell me something about what the problem might be? I'm running the most recent nView available for my (quite old) computer and, although I can work around this problem by u…

You don't write where you entered/used "*2019*.docx" When enter that as your [URL] (instead of the standard "*"), you should be OK.

That may very well be (I am not the author ...) why the GUI only supports graphically making the filtering (inclusions and exclusions) more restrictive (temporary or "permanent"). …

Truecrypt was one of the applications that worked but FreeFileSynch did not. After trying different things, reboots, etc. I decided to downgrade back one version and that did not w…

Okay, done.

Hi, when I execute the routine by Task Scheduler the progress window won't show. The backup is made but the processes don't stop (in Task Manager). In the routine options I have th…

Thank you for the reply. But the comparison of files is relatively swift for me. It is when it commences synchronizing the files by copying the revised version over the older versi…

Thanks for documenting the workaround.

Yes they do. I just checked last night's sync and it worked fine but now it shows the last sync date 6 days ago. The sync job in question uses versioning, the other 9 do not if tha…

Thanks for that. Has that update been released yet?

It seems you have to look into defining a Custom sync variant, and define your preferred Action per Compare Category.

I had success using the following syntax: [Code] It seems unlikely that you can use 10 as the display sequence number as you probably don't have 10 displays connected to your compu…

Syncing every 1 minute seems overdone in (almost) any case. But likely that is not what you mean. I assume you mean the idle-time setting of RTS (isn't assumption is the mother of …

I suppose your "first backup" started with an essentially empty backup location and involved copying over the content of the source location to the backup location. In which case t…

I set it to 1 and after a restart I have the same slow comparison after approx. 50.000 files. Does the size of the sync.ffs_db has anything to do with it ? Can I increase the size …

I have begun my packaging efforts for CentOS and Fedora. It appears that for CentOS 7 and 8 and Fedora 29 do not have c++2a even when CentOS is using devtoolset-8. I think I will h…

Dear All! I would like to use RealTimeSync feature to set up an Automated Synchronization between the local folder on my laptop and another folder on a remote SPTP server, but when…

Thank you to all of you! I did think the culprit was FFS, but as Gianni suggested, I'll look towards Pcloud which is also active on these directories. Have a nice day.

I have a FFS_batch file that runs fine if you directly log in, run FFS as administrator, and click Synchronize. "Fail-safe" and "copy locked files" are both set in FFS. But the sam…

Will do. fwiw, life circumstances have precluded running any syncs for several months, so, this will give me the incentive to take some precautions and do so... perhaps later today…

Just tested some more... and noticed that if I make a complete sync, the extended attributes works. BUT, if i change the the COLOR LABEL in the Finder at the source > re-sync - the…

Thank for this simple reply. I did it and the following synchro worked. Thank you!

Doesn't [URL] answer your question?

I fail to see where having two directories differing by case only is a possibility? If that is a possibility, you are actually better off starting your filter one level shallower t…

The button is still there, are you sure you have identical files on both sides?

Based on how little we can see up top, the folder you are showing us is not set at the source directory in FFS

Nothing native to FFS. But, there may be a chain of things you can do to dynamically change the firewall on certain networks to block FFS from having internet access.

I'm running FFS 10.17 on Windows 10 with latest (November2019) updates syncing to a NAS Western Digital PR4100 with latest firmware (2.31.195). I recently updated to Adobe Photosho…

Great app, but I have small problem. I create a testFolder in A, with a color tag attached. if I sync, testFolder is created in B, with the proper color tag. If now, I change the c…

Hi all! Seems like the problem occurs already at some users, such like me ;-) Get the Error Code 267 by synchronisation from a webspace via ftp. What can I do myself to fix it? (I …

Thank you very much for the quick workaround. FFS now shows the full timestamps!

Try "*\#*.7z"

THX for you answer! I tried this - of course - before I postet my problem here! The "*" is - as you know - defaut, and other syntaxes like "*.gpx" didn't help anyway. I tried it on…
