Too bad! I wanted to give you a large sum of money as a thank you for your work. But if your site says no, then no. Goodbye.

[Quote] Yep! I've seen that before. I've had people using two or more external HDDs on a non-powered USB hub with a mouse, and then the mouse gets laggy when transferring files LOL

My apologies. I installed FreeFileSync then configured norton online backup at the same time. I didn't notice the indicators change when norton was installed. So I mistakenly thoug…

Apparently you are now installing the FFS Donation edition on your test machines. Instead of installing your Donation edition, you could simply install the Free edition on your tes…

[Quote] Yeah. Makes no sense. And you have to tweak a sensitive registry value to get around it.

The problem lies with WebDAV itself. It allows max file size of only 50mb by default. It needs some registry editing to solve the problem: [URL]

Following a quick 'google' it appears that there is no reliable way of doing this with the schedular, though one option is to trigger on event1074. But, how long the task will run …

gave access to [URL] .. works fine for now..

[Quote] Thanks! I'll find a workaround for now. Nevertheless another vote from my side for any option somewhere for deleting files that are not in the scope with the mirror method.

@xCSxXenon: Understood. Thanks for the info!

[Quote] Let me clarify this, because I think this is a nice feature that nobody really knows about: The custom commands of the FFS context menu are directly evaluated by cmd.exe ju…

Also, just get bigger drives. This allows you to eliminate this problem entirely by keeping all data on the C: drive AND, which keeps the data safer by having another full copy. I …

Thank you Zenju. That's what I was looking for!

SORRY, I probably made a stupid mistake. Although the SDHC card was still empty at the beginning, so 42 files should have been displayed in each case - maybe it was a contact error…

Ok, thanks a lot. I didn't know that. I think that will solve the problem.

After comparison, you can double-click on any file to open it in a file browser. For Google Drive files, it will show them directly in the browser.

Perfect. Thank you for the thorough testing, including the negative test with the old FFS version. The fix will be included in the next release.

[Quote] DIR > CON.ididntknowthat Neat. Thanks :-).

[Quote] The ellipsis character was my way of indicating that the full path/file name was truncated - it was not actually in the name. The names were regular folder names - for exam…

I have the same problem. You create a file locally, sync it to the NAS and the next time you sync, the file should be synced back to the client. The NAS knows a change date and a c…

Hi to all, Thank you all for the answers! I solved the issue disabiling the index db.. now it is very fast!

[Quote] There is no limit. That's only a display glitch. If you slightly resize the window manually, you'll see the scrollbar appearing. Fixed for the next release.

*.ffs_real is in C:\my scripts and C:\users\username\AppData\Roaming\FreeFileSync. It's a *.ffs_batch in image 3. The home page manual and the RTS window say to import a batch file…

Three years later, this still happens. [URL] It was working fine for months, and then BAM! No responses to request for assistance with this. Very disappointing.

I restarted the android app that acts as a ssh server as well as freefilesync. After this, performance of freefilesync became equivalent to scp.

We were all newbies at some point ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ At least you were clear, concise, and receptive! Glad it's working for you!

You shouldn't be using Task Scheduler AND RealTimeSync together. [Quote] This doesn't make any sense. If you are using Task Scheduler, anything related to RTS will not have any eff…

Have the same problem/error message when copying to Google drive on the old 10.14 Mohave.

I posed this question to ChatGPT. This was the response. Does this sound like it would work? ----- To avoid hardcoding SSIDs and have RealTimeSync run only on regular WiFi networks…

That is because you can only use VSS on local storage devices, and VSS is required for that option to have any effect.

Same problem copying to a smb share with MacOS. I've configured 5 repeats. Most of the time this works. But it is a FFS issue.

Thank you for the suggested workflows. The first one would fit. As per: [Quote] I didn't expect automatic transformation between c:\path_to_my_files and /mnt/windows_c/path_to_my_f…
