Hi, I donated and got the latest donate version, but I'm stuck with 10.11 because I need to run it on 2003... Any way to get the older 10.11 donate?

I just would like to chime in and add that most of the errors I had months ago have disappeared from recent versions of FreeFileSync. The last ones remaining are few and all pop up…

There is SPI Firewall but turning that off didn't change anything.

Cloud storage also does its own syncing and other processes that can slow down file transfers. Large files will transfer faster than many small files as well

That is not currently an option. You can only overwrite or do nothing to the target file if the source is newer.

Sounded like a corrupt flash drive, but if you can't even format it anymore, it may have corrupted the flash controller. I would be doubtful though. If diskpart can't run a clean c…

See e.g. [URL]. What is written there applies equally well for FTP as for SFTP.

These definitions only apply to Mirror or Update sync variants. And then left is the source and right the target. For a Two-way and a Custom sync variant source and target may vary…

I am probably being very stupid! I have run a daily batch job using Free File Sync for years. I have just set up Free File Sync on a new machine (Windows 10, 7 before) and cannot f…

Basically it looks like you need multiple tasks but you can set them up in such a way that they are executed, one after the other, via a single sync operation. You could tinker wit…

I'm still stumped by this. Can anyone offer anything to explain the discrepancy i'm seeing? thanks

Perhaps you've set "Ignore errors" in sync settings.

Fixed! Had to install the following: sudo apt install libgtk2.0-0 sudo apt install libcanberra-gtk-module libcanberra-gtk3-module Then it loads ok

The new version is detecting as a Trojan in both HitmanPro and Windows Defender! Picture attached

Don't worry. I have found the setting. I was looking in the wrong place. Sorry.

Actually, now I see that yes, apparently this is caused by strange files that some computers show as having backslashes in their filename. You can probably ignore this issue.

Hi Plerry Thats great thanks for your very detailed reply, that makes sense! :)

Good luck finding a solution to your problem somewhere else. With your kind of social skills you'll need it.

Hi, As a matter of fact I upgraded Jessie to Stretch 32 bit. Surprised it worked as that is sometimes a job that can be a little unreliable. I don't think buster has 32 bit so my o…
