This has been fixed in FFS 6.11.

Found the problem. I think old project files from an old version of FFS was causing it. The problem went away when I opened a new sync project!

RealtimeSync's native file format is .ffs_real. Passing a .ffs_batch file works, too, but is mere convenicence, and has the drawback of using the default timeout value.
