You may sync an arbitrary number of folders via automatic mode, "n-way" syncs are fully supported. Just make sure this is the model you want: any change in any of the folder will b…

Excellent, that is just what I am looking for - we may try running with the CopyLockedFiles turned off only because we have people that are running Access databases or VM images fr…

This sounds pretty much like the "update" sync variant.

It's not exposed on GUI but you can enable "VerifyCopiedFiles" in GlobalSettings.xml

Seems to be caused by multithreading bugs in GTK: [URL]

Probably not. Error codes are now positive while they were negative in earlier versions. Since batch "errorlevel" models less-equal, there bat file may need to be adapted. The new …

Damn it, I confused "label" and "file name" field :) Fixed.

Okay, thank you very much, I will try a bit, many thanks for your idea.

Additional complication: Folder drop-down on one side can be used to select aliases/insert macros.

> different filesystems may have small different size reportings I have heard this statement a couple of times now, but I don't think it is true. There is no filesystem that I know…

Currently there is no way to limit the total size of old file versions. "recylce bin" can often be used to get this effect, although it's not evident, what files it deletes first i…

...you're right! I did not even know about this feature! Actually it's not just when copying: I have tried to create a new text document from the "New..." contextual menu starting …

Thank you, this gives exacly the information I needed. Now I can see if the sync process finishes in time, and how much was changed. The speed looks like a problem with the two pha…

I can't move a topic, but you may open a repost (or just keep it here, I don't mind).

As I understand, if we access to archives read-only, we always 'do nothing' to it. If you are talking about archive modification, then you could apply all modifications to duplicat…

I can't find any further info on it

FFS cannot know whether a deletion is intentional or not, so it is always propagated. Still, restoring a file is not a problem if you set deletion handling to "recycle bin" or "ver…

@Zenju thanks for clarification i like your program really and i will use it

That works! Thank you for following up.

In setup 3, there's no need for any delays at all. In setup 2, I could start these with a MUCH shorter delay: the only purpose behind it is to ensure that the FFS instances running…

To get smallest files to sync first, see my discussion post [URL]. FFS already does a very smart job in how it orders its processing, to avoid using any more file space than is nec…

The ID 3466418 lead to changes in v5.0 which are the source of this incompatibility.

same should be done with batch files...

Correct, FFS uses Windows' message box font, which (for default settings) changed from MS Shell Dlg 2, 8 pt to Segoe UI, 9 pt since Windows Vista.

You can dynamically merge multiple ffs_gui and/or ffs_batch files into FFS an run them as a single merged sync. Is there anything else missing?

Z, Sorry for my confusion but I took versioning literally and thanks for the clarification. I guess that would be a feature request then to do both, one for the deletion directory …

Should have read this sooner. Edited GlobalSettings.xml instead. Now I know better. Wonderful program.

Thank you very much Zenju. Now with v4.4 the error reports are gone and everything works fine.

Picture will be back up in a while. I rebuilt my server with different volume configuration to take some encryption load out of the web server.
