Can you send me a Process Monitor trace for the installation until the error message comes up? [URL]

Funny how I've stated, a couple times now, that everything has tested working the same as it always has. It's all the same as it was before whatever this problem is happened. Also,…

In a new LMC 22.1 installation, FF 143.0.4 and FFS 14.5 again cannot connect to google drive. FF is the default browser, but there is no sensible-browser definition. Please help

I confirm "Export file list" works just fine in version 2509 that I currently use.

The fact that Google Drive returns an invalid date looks like a bug on Google's side.

Also, in what scenario does this process make sense? What are you trying to accomplish? For syncing in pieces, doing it directory-by-directory is way better than scanning the entir…

The Outlook data file is basically always being touched, even if it ends up being unchanged, ask Microsoft to figure out why. If you are using RTS to monitor a location containing …

Confirmed -- thank you so much!

Aha, ok, i will try that next time i'm on that computer. Thank you.

I know this board is 4 years old now, but I regularly connect to a server that uses explicit FTP over TLS and Filezilla works fine and shows an ftps:// address. Needless to say, ev…

The way Drag & Drop works now seems pretty useless to me. If I select a folder, it does its job and places it where I drop it. If I select multiple folders, it only considers the f…

Thank you so very much. For hours I couldn't figure it out. Thanks again.

Thanks for the feedback and the list of links to other tickets. That was quite a lot to look at! Interestingly, I haven't noticed the instability several other refer to during the …

Hi xCSxXenon! I knew it ;-)...it was so simple. And I still couldn't find it. Of course it works. Thanks for the solution and thanks for the quick reply. cu pflanziscuss

I see thank you

[Quote] I have only now seen that I received the program from the user administration. So wait until the current version appears there.

I just downloaded the latest Desktop Connector version (October 1st) and it appears to have fixed the issue.

Yes, RTS triggers the command line a single time upon starting it

Tools | Options -> Default Log Folder: should contain your log files, & presumably showing the full path in question.

I am not very familiar with (what seems to be) Linux and mounting remote/cloud locations via rsync. That said, I have a couple of questions/observations: • "I am attaching screensh…

[Quote] That's puzzling: "/usr/bin/freefilesync" isn't used by FreeFileSync (anymore in recent versions), but "/usr/local/bin/freefilesync" instead, and only for the "all users" in…

1) Try disabling in Tools / Options the radio-button [x] Copy DACL, SACL, Owner, Group 2) You're launching FFS with Administrator privileges, and Drag and Drop doesn't work between…

Thank you very much! That solved the problem. Earlier I did a reinstall of Windows 11, but it seems like some of the 13.7-files, but not the program itself, were still installed.

OK seeems like redonation is the only possible way. Thanks :)

Thank you Plerry, it works like a charm. Denis

You misunderstood my "does not stick for me". It works exactly as you stated, also in my FFS version. I myself am the "problem"; the exception does not readily stick in my mind. Al…

I did not miss that, but simply explained why, when using RealTimeSync (as opposed to e.g. Nirsoft), you don't run the risk of ending up in an endless loop.

[URL] FFS isn't the right tool for your use, as you are no longer syncing.

Thankyou, yes I think my only chance is if the "failed" SSD can be accessed. I'm picking up an NVme Enclosure adapter tomorrow which will enable me to attempt to access it as an ex…

Simply define [URL], using the green + icon in front of the left-right pair.

> ... it's not sychronizing by actualize, but only mirroring. What do you mean by "actualize"? Is that a dubious translation for the Update sync variant?

Issue on my side - please do not consider any longer. Topic can be deleted.

What happens when you try to start the .run file from command line?

Post a screenshot of the error using "Editor & Preview" below

Thank you for the answer. I didn't think MTP was that sensitive. Setting up the smartphone as an FTP server is obviously more complicated; I was hoping there was a simple solution.…

Sounds like permissions issues. You may be able to delete the Recycle Bin folder on that drive, which will cause it to be recreated by Windows.

Since it is unrelated to FFS, it wouldn't make sense to add it to the FAQ. It's more general computer knowledge

was a problem with the USB Stick :-( with another it worked as expected...

Hello again... I was just wondering if there's any news on that request? Will we be able to see it in future versions? As always, thanks so much for all the great work, and best re…

I just deleted 10 gigs of files from Backups and ran the FFS Master Backup and no error now. Thanks much appreciated. As for why the check showed nothing I honestly could not tell …

This is apparently a regression due to a recent wxWidgets update. Fixed in the next release.

even in the sandbox it is not possible to create the database

Port 990 is the default for an "implicit FTP" connection.

That's not coming from FFS.

@Coomnader_Keen As xCSxXenon already wrote, RTS and FFS are completely different programs. RTS simply monitors the folders shown/specified in the RTS gui (and potentially saved in …
