I mean the full text of the warning message "Warning The change time of XXXX cannot be written."

[Quote] This is true. OP didn't specify locations but considering the provided info, this makes sense logically

[Quote] I hadn't thought about that actually. I put a filter in as I had a backup to do personal folders and stuff. I'll be sure to check in future. thanks again.

[Quote] AHA! Thank you for clarifying.

As kriebie said, 'ignore' is certainly interpretation. Ignoring a warning and ignoring the files both make sense to me. "Proceed anyway" makes way more sense for the current behavi…

Try selecting a directory

This isn't surprising. As I alluded to, FFS wasn't the direct issue. It's not crazy that the OS does something funky, or AV software, or a thousand other things that can do somethi…

[Quote] FreeFilesync does not have this configuration.

Dear Zenju, while you are at it, would you please also reply to the related topic below? [URL]

This is indeed the best solution. Initially, I had thought of modifying the C:\Users\XX\AppData\Roaming\FreeFileSync\GlobalSettings.xml, but the "FolderHistory" left and right are …

[Quote] Doesn't matter. Clicking sync first will run a compare first. Clicking sync after running a compare manually just runs the sync with the actions queued by that compare. Wit…

[Quote] Cool. I didn't realize this was a daily occurrence and that the machines can't be deleted quickly enough from the internet.

I'm betting you made a typo. The location on the left looks to be set to "1010BlackBox" but the right side and name of the config are using "1010Drums". You are probably working an…

Were you transferring the same data manually, or just random test data? Make sure to try transferring the same data. File I/O overhead can be considerable, especially when dealing …

No, that's no longer "syncing" and FFS is a syncing application

[Quote] 🙏 Thank you so much for your fast replies today. Heck yes!

To a local copy, yes To OneDrive natively natively, no To OneDrive with some workarounds, yes

Programs like Dolphin (in KDE Plasma) and Thunar (in XFCE) can use low-level filesystem libraries directly to access network shares like nfs or CIFS/SMB. For everything else though…

Hi. Your issue seems very different from mine (your folders have no starting dot) You should rather open a new topic.

I'll give that a go. Thanks!

p.s. Re-running the same batch file again after the warning run results in successful run!

So RTS fails, yet FFS itself is still working? Prior to /windows/ removal, were you syncing the entire D: drive (& set /windows/ as an exclude) or did you have individual directory…

Thank you Plerry for your reply. I believe that the two-way sync variant is the ideal option to achieve my objective.
