Now I have found that I have to turn off Fail safe copy in Tool Options. Now it takes few seconds to sync.

Just as a last update. Got the new drive in today. Got it formatted to APFS. FFS pushed a full backup to this drive from the image drive I have 1.25TB in 20 minutes.
