Thanks Plerry for your usefull answer.

Not every one is then

The location you mirror to will always contain the most recent version of all files (after running a sync), so there is no need to (also) add those to the Versioning location. As a…

Yeah, this really sounds like a problem outside of FFS

....I'm also ignoring these messages (button) and the sync completes (with errors). I certainly don't think that's OK and that, as a result, may create other problems with my files…

OS is Linux LMDE 5. Downloads/FreeFileSync_11.25_[Donation_Edition]_Linux.zip Unpacked it into: Downloads/FreeFileSync_11.25_[Donation_Edition]_Install.run Then: "Error: could not …

Glad it's working! Yeah, when you run a batch file directly, it starts CMD in that location. The task scheduler uses the system32 folder when it runs tasks, so you have to 'cd' or …

First problem: ffs_tmp file will automatically be deleted during the next sync. Second problem: I'm not sure this is even possible, unless you have a second ffs sync running at the…

Hi, I search about the topic, and I havent found an answer yet. Is it possible to sync a local drive to iCloud? There seem to be a problem syncing to .iCloud file. 1. Is there any …

FreeFileSync (FFS) by default prevents you from simultaneously running two syncs if there is a full or partial overlap between the left and/or right base location (or its subdirect…

You are already on a blank template. You can start a new one or save a config if there is no config yet

Setup was easy and I've used this for years to sync different folders but suddenly stopped working. So, can you provide some clearer guidance?

I see. I will refer to the thread. /Bugsy@Japan

Thank you so much!!!! Solved with a simple flag ;-) Mauri

[Quote] thank you!

Well in that screenshot, there are 2,150 items that are already in sync between the two locations. FFS doesn't show these by default, but you can click the "=" below to toggle them…

Still trying to get to the source of my problem, it seems that the string that FreeFileSync calls the Guid is not the same as the string that the Disks program in Ubuntu calls the …

When I queried the terminal, the result indicated /bin/bash but your comments led me to try the installation via the provided default pcmanfm rather than my preferred terminal nemo…

Google translate: I found the solution myself: Under Extras - Options - uncheck Copy file permissions

Oh wow. I didn't realise that is what it does. There's no way in hell I'll enable email notification if it's going through a third party SMTP server.

Sadly, I too have this problem. It works fine with SMB, but for added security I switched over to FTPES recently and noticed these sporadic errors. In one directory for example, al…

It was fixed in FFS 11.25 September 2nd version. I did not notice. Reinstalling FFS 11.25 today fixed this issue. Or maybe the Monterey 12.6 update fixed it?

[Quote] Hi and thanks a lot for your help, it works great both ways I knew FreeFileSincy is one of the best. Thanks again.

No, it means weird stuff like the following will fail now: • Create a .ffs_gui file, and give it a .ffs_batch extension • Create a .ffs_gui file, and save it as a file without any …

how did you figure it out?

Why would the notification sounds be grayed out and not functioning? They were functioning, but not now. [Attachment]

Thank you everyone I have started re-arranging the folders on disk 2 to roughly match disk 1. (Couldn't do the two-way as the capacity wasn't enough in each) Then tried eliminating…

Fingers crossed then.

Ok, well hidden :) Thank you! Feature Request: Can we have this as an option per source folder? Maybe there are use cases where someone needs both (depending on the folder) and the…

Hi Profoundisputes, Did you solve your problem ? Im stuck in the same point as you (with the same error) Thanks !

C:\Users\[user]\Documents\batch.ffs_batch ? it is like this only. for security i removed that user name I am able to run FFS on Current logged on user by double clicking

Yes, you are right! Thanks for that hint. When I copy a file via Linux file manager to the WebDAV drive, then the same problem occurs, date/time is set to the current date/time. If…

> I did just update with the latest Windows update. Version?

Yep - had a good chance to check this morning. the space reclaimation I was expecting happened. thank you so much!

FFS seems to be working correctly, it's just that the progress window is not visible after being restored from the tray. The desktop screen seems to be weirdly trimmed left and rig…

The key itself (on Windows) goes into the /Resources/ directory. I'll assume it is the same on Linux. Not familiar with [URL] so not sure how that relates? FreeFileSync from [URL] …

That is probably/definitely an issue with how your distro is handling the network transfer. On Windows, I can swap NICs without FFS having anything more than a small pause when swi…

Hello, I have a MIR card, can I pay with a MIR card, make a donation?

In the meantime I have installed and tested the version 11.24. Everything seems to work (again) as it should.

I'm running manjaro and attempting to install FreeFileSync from the AUR and get the below compilation terminated due to -Wfatal-errors ~~~ [Code] ~~~

Thanks - if it comes back, I'll try looking for the .ffs_lock file. But for now, the Windows interal disk repair function seems to have done the trick. [Quote] Ah in which case I m…
