I can sync to the networked drove using the same credentials using Windows 7 and ffs7.1. I'm not sure if I need to change something or if it just won't work in Linux

I'd suggest to exclude the problematic files via filter rather than suppress all error messages. This way you will be notified if there is a new kind of error.

See help file chapter "[URL]: RunWithBackgroundPriority" and see if this will help.
