Sorry I just noticed I was using an old version and now multiple folder pairs are supported, I cant find a way to delete this topic.

I had tried that before, but for some reason I was getting a weird "non recognized executable" error (or something close to that. Probably something got corrupt when extracting or …

Win 7 64bit UAC off FFS 5.22 I have used FFS in the past on other machines to do this same thing but it is not working now. I am trying to sync 2 drives (E+F) but when I click comp…

I found a package for SuSE [URL] but did not try it myself

Nice work on this last version (5.22) Zenju! This fixed the URI drag and drop issue for me on Linux. Much appreciated! I could not be without this program! It's saved me years of w…

Detection of moved files is now available for mirror variant, too: [404, Invalid URL: https://sourceforge.net/p/freefilesync/feature-requests/299]

I used the Help file and the Discussions I could find, but still kept getting a bunch of weird error messages to the effect that there were errors in the configuration file setting…

Thanks. I´ve found out it was a config problem of the Win scheduler. In a desparate attempt to solve the problem I´ve changed an option in the general tab in the Win Scheduler to "…

Automatic retry has been implemented for the next version. This should handle all remaining cases of startup failures as well as other intermittent network problems: [404, Invalid …

The three variants of FFS on Windows, Linux, OS X implement the platform-specific default behavior (strictly speaking it's file system behavior): 1. Windows/NTFS stores file names …

Thank you, I didn't expect a response that quick! Works perfect!

The default Win32 error message is really misleading. I've patched this to let FFS show ERROR_ELEVATION_REQUIRED instead which is what the real problem is: "The requested operation…

Have a look at your filter settings, thumbs.db files are excluded by default.

It depends: If it is a one-time action you can simply sync with FFS, then delete the file on the left via the FFS main dialog. If you want to do this frequently you can setup two b…

settings > deletion handling > "permanent" I think I helped myself - hopefully my ramblings helps other too :-)

If you're still on Windows XP I can understand your request since the GUI feedback for file operations is very limited on XP. You might want to take a look at this program: teracop…

Afaik, this is not possible. The only switch for controlling the last logfile is in globalsettings.xml and is about controlling its max filesize.

Can you copy files manually with a windows explorer instance running with highest privileges (as administrator) to your FTP?

Maybe it's the same error? [URL] If not, you can find detailed error info in the Windows event viewer.

If I get a chance I'll try to recreate the action that resulted in my files being deleted. I do know I did a compare, then unchecked some folders I did not want to sync. Don't reme…

As a workaround, you might want to look into using the FileTimeTolerance parameter (see the FFS Help), which can help you bridge the "gap" of 1 hour.

I'm posting an answer in the other thread.

The problem is, whenever either background or foreground color is hard-coded by the program, the other color needs to be hard-coded, too, to support accessibility. In the progress …

It does. Unless you've set the batch job option to show the process dialog or set the error handling to popup.

Hm. You could of course create a new scheduled task that runs a batch script that kills the process FreeFileSync_x64.exe if it's running, and schedule that task to be executed 2 ho…

@Error Code 1300: Start FFS with admin rights, or disable all options in FFS that require admin rights (e.g. VSS, copying NTFS permissions, creating symlinks, ...)

[Quote] thank you srjones67! it worked like a charm, what a great program!!!

Thanks a lot!

> Can this work or are there other suggestions? This can work, but is not built into FFS. You can write a batch-script that checks if the VPN connection is up and running, (e.g. by…
