problem with this is merging, does NOT keep the current filters per folder pair - Major BUG

Thank you!

Is this reproducible? Maybe these are remnants from other synchronizations? You can check this via the main dialog before starting the sync.

You can use the portable version which doesn't need installation.

xCSxXenon, thanks for your advice. But I think I gave PC 2 at least full access. I shared the partitions of PC 2 by allowing full access, changing and reading for everyone in the p…

Could you post your command line to run the ffs batch? I am having trouble getting it to trigger (Mint 19.2)

What are you syncing from and to? How many files?

[Quote] Thanks for this, did not realise the logs were available. Thanks for both links, however now sorted as per Zenju's response below. Regards, Dave

[Quote] You are indeed correct, sir. I changed the mode to "Mirror" and now the behavior makes more sense. Thanks ;) :lock:

Well it seems that we now have everything syncing. I did receive a conflict warning on PC2, but I deleted the data.JJC file which forced the update to push through the copy on the …

Updating an existing FFS installation shouldn't be a problem. My guess is that some other process was interfering. Maybe some AV software. In order to find out what was happening o…

I also have this issue sometimes. I sync between my OneDrive and some other local locations, but most times, moving a file or renaming causes FFS to delete and copy a new version. …

Two options: 1. if possible fix your FTP server to support RNFR/RNTO 2. disable fail-safe file copy (wouldn't recommend, but what can you do)

You are totally right! I missenstad the beaviour of the Two-Way mode. Thank you for the aclaration and for the suggestion of the Custom sync that is exactly what I need. Regards,

This is a known issue (with no solution so far) [URL]

I don't understand what kind of problem you're seeing. Do you have some details, or screenshots?

You can have a look at date of a specific file pair and see if it should be included or not.

Sounds similar to [URL]

It took quite a while, but FreeFileSync's FTP has received a major performance and conformance overhault! The issue above should be fixed in the latest beta: [URL]

I am not sure your use-case makes much sense. RealTimeSync (RTS) will only launch the specified application (most commonly: FreeFileSync, FFS), upon detecting a change in the monit…

Hi May i know did FreeFileSync got any log or interface can view or check the available storage space on target location?

Thanks Zenju. I'll reset those options back to the defaults.

Hi, Zenjus. Problem solved! Once again, many thanks for your support. Have a nice day

OK, thanks. Yes, that appears to be the same issue.

You cannot do what you are trying to do. RTS monitors the folders in the sync and will start a batch job when it detects a change or when it is connected. mtp DOES NOT support this…

The major issue is your spotty connection, not the program. What stops you from starting the sync again? It should restart where it left off. You could also temporarily exclude all…

I don't think RTS is causing this. FFS on the other hand uses RestartManager to get additional error info when failing to open a locked file.

I'm going to ding your inbox again just to thank you. Thanks for all your help! :-)

Maybe this can help: [URL]

It works! Thanks!!

Windows has a 260 character limit I believe. Is it only a single directory? What reason does it give you for the failure to create a directory.

I solved myself. The problem was related to an external disk. The disk could be read/written by other Apps, so I excluded a privilege issue on it. But I have dismounted and remount…
