Thank you for you answer, yes its working like a charm.

There are many ways to skin your cat. But I am glad to see you found at least one way that works for you.

Hmm, is there any way to check that it's crashing? Like a dump or something? I don't have any command set

[Quote] Actually, no. (Sorry about that, posted to wrong topic.)

Well, RoonRock has no user thing, just a login to verify it's a paid account. But I do have an issue with permissions through windows explorer. No matter what I do, the server fold…

To test, you can browse to the location in your file explorer, and then drag-n-drop the folder into FFS to auto-fill. This will confirm the syntax

I'm continuing to see this problem. Since my original post I have built a new PC. Everything is new, including the external dock and my main backup drive. I'm on Windows 11 now ins…

Are you trying to install into the root of C:\ itself? If so, try to install into some subdirectory of C:\, like C:\FREEFILESYNC\.

Ad 1) You can change the default location of the FFS log-file for the user credentials you run FreeFileSync (FFS) under in the FFS GUI via Tools / Options to any arbitrary availabl…

It seems you are using the Update sync variant. Try using the Mirror sync variant instead.

Even more, not just the file names must match, but those identically named files need to be in the same (sub)folder relative to the left and right base location. What you (meet law…

Never mind, I figured it out. It was a permissions problem, but my fault for incorrectly configuring the permissions.

What is the full error message?

No, the intended solution is to press the "Enter key" on your single file instead: [URL]
