OK solved. I never thought to check the mount points. Normally when I install a OS drives / partitions are under /run/media/, I always change them to be under /mnt/. Somehow I miss…

RTS is only a directory monitor that will run a FFS configuration when changes are detected. You decide what operations are performed when creating a ffs_batch setup in FFS

Thanks for getting back. Good to know about the donation version. Still happy to have done it since I have been using the software for a while now, so money well spent. Does that m…

Ooops sorry, I didn't see the "hint" when mouse-hover. So they'll be removed on 27/02 and 04/03. Fine ! Thanks ! :) And keep the good work, you ROCK !!!

Thank you for the answer. I double checked here, and I am not using this option. And the job it is so far to complete. It is 1tb data, and is rebooting after few GBs.

What about local phone storage? I would run: sfc /scannow dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth sfc /scannow in an admin command prompt. Yes, sfc twice, before and after dism.…

Works fine, your environment has underlying issues

You need to add those (root) folder names to your right-side base locations as suggested by xCSxXenon. If one or more of those right-side folders "H:\Backup\FolderA", "H:\Backup\Fo…

It sure will! Here's a wealth of info: [URL]

You are trying to do two syncs in one and that can't work. You will have to set up filters over two syncs to split up the content on D to the two locations. Splitting a backup to t…

Okay, ran "D:\" to "G:\bakup" [fake name for target] after setting FILTERS \System Volume Information\ \Config.Msi \$Recycle.Bin\ plus several of my own exclusions. Note-1: CAN hav…

[Quote] Hello, No, this is 2 différents IDs and password, but when I truc to connect, I add the username and password in the syntax (as a basic NFS connection on Linux). I can try …

Color me confused... That is borderline mind-blowing. I wonder if there is another software that sees 11.5 specifically and interrupts some process during read/write. I could see t…

Hi Zenju, Thank you for quick reply and very rich in information. Really apriciate that and your time. it is possible to know is there any possiblity for Freefilesync at least beha…

Thank you for that -- I stand corrected. I cannot find any mention of ignoring lines in the command line interface. My apologies. It is still a great program!

Reinstall?

Third-party builds of FFS are not supported. I'd suggest testing if the problem reproduces with the official FFS version: [URL]

How about now?

Tried the newest version yet?

[URL] [URL] Still a work-in-progress

TL;DR this error can be ignored The error is from a different app unrelated to FFS that tried to register a broken MIME file. "update-mime-database" shows errors for all applicatio…

@plerry: thank you! This is so helpful for us. I'm reviewing your response in conjunction with digging further into the docs.

Start by watching the relevant [URL]

[Quote] Been there, done that. I'm glad FFS got rid of dependencies to third-party platforms (including public bug trackers) :D

Plex can either put them in the original location or a different one. In my case it's different. I could come up with something but not sure it's worth it. I still need the Show su…

Thank you so much for the information. I can see a workaround now. What I really need to sync is the substance of my documents. The filepath is only needed so that if I print a doc…

This means, this is not a problem that FFS can fix, most likely a bug in the web dav implementation. The best FFS can do is to show a warning and continue (instead of the error and…

Can you post a screenshot of the full error message? Culprit is likely AV software.

This has been brought up before, the only option is to set a date/time range. It deviates too much from a sync to really fit natively

Is the shortcut target actually where it should be? What if you refresh the explorer window to refresh icons? I also sync shortcuts and it has no issues. What if you right-click th…

You said you have to manually start RTS again once you wake the laptop back up? As in, RTS is crashing at some point between the laptop going to sleep and waking up? If so, are the…

Great, thanks and keep on going! I never had a sync-app that worked as convincing as yours!!!

Awesome! Glad you got it working

Assuming the Windows Task Scheduler: In the Task Scheduler you can define a maximum amount of time that a task is allowed to run. If your one or both of your FFS syncs take longer …

As of last overnight it seemed OK; I will check it again tonight & will also be deleting the offending JPG files at source & destination locations. My goal in asking here is to hel…

Got it. Thank you.

FFS does not support Amazon Photos. Looks like there is an Amazon Cloud api, but I don't know if that is integrated with Amazon Photos

Change the locations of the sync? One side is the Google Drive and the other would be "C:\Users\XXXXXX\Documents\Workfolder\"

What if you reinstall FFS? I would guess the issue resides in the machine or OS though. It worked great, the OS updated, now it doesn't. Mac OS 11 is also new, so it may just be th…

Use the Update sync variant instead of the Mirror sync variant. A Mirror sync deletes right-side files if these files do not or no longer exist on the left-side. An Update sync lea…

Doesn't freefilesync use rsync? I don't it is using sftp.

Ignore, it's me being dumb !!

With 1~1.5TB of data and a daily limit of 750GB, your initial sync should take two sync sessions spread over two days. Simply re-run FFS the second day. It will conclude part of th…

The message is straight forward. Apparently you defined a RealTimeSync (RTS) task that includes monitoring one or more gdrive folders for changes. And, as the message states, gdriv…

Thanks for posting - glad this helped!

Ok thanks again. :-)

No, being a sync program, FreeFileSync (FFS) by default retains the folder structure of files. But perhaps you can use the manual action described [URL].

Apologies for the bump, but I realise this issue is essentially solved by syncing directly to and from Google Drive using said new feature. FreeFileSync being in charge means no du…

Yeah, RTS comes with FFS and is very useful! Running the batch file manually, from within FFS, clicking "synchronize" will run the compare then perform the operations. It sounds li…
