As far as I know, iPhone does not expose app data to the computer. Only Android has given that option. You will need to use cloud saving, if it exists, or you won't be able to do w…

[Quote] Yeah got it. Thanks! I just think that it would be nice to have it.

I agree that it would be very nice to have the option, for OS / file systems that support it (e.g. Windows NTFS volumes), to specify that the target folder will be compressed by th…

Basically, just sync the whole "Users" folder and use filters to include/exclude what you want

This should be fixed already in the latest release 12.2.

Thanks. Appreciate your help. Best, Jos

Most likely AV software of the like is interferring with FFS. Perhaps a Process Monitor trace can reveal what's happening: [URL]

@Plerry, thanks for your answer. I found out FFS will save its own user/password DB if I use FTP connection to NAS. I save backups as batch jobs, and then I call them automatically…

You can switch to permanent deletions or have the versioning location also be set up in a way that prevents users from getting to it

OK - answering my own question. Surprisingly SFTP was faster in the scanning. The 850k+ scan was done in 38secs with SFTP, but at 38secs with FTP it was only at the 500k files scan…

Thank you. I assumed but wanted confirmation.

I'm switching to FreeFilesync from AllwaySync. In the AllwaySync environment, what you call a conflict was just a common situation. A user could define three or more directories th…

No need to uninstall as you'd lose all global settings. Just install the version you want, this will work as expected.

Thank you for your reply. I am sad to know that its a FFS feature. Perhaps there is a way to synchronize directory time like Robocopy or Rsync. Now I use Rsync to fix dir time afte…

Thank you for the reply! I missed that option when creating the batch file.

There are cmd utilities to eject USBs and they can be invoked using a post-sync command from FFS

Thanks, that appeared to do it.

My take on this is that is way too many threads. My rule of thumb for threading is 2 to 4 threads per physical disk. Here's my reasoning: A physical disk can only perform 1 read or…

Thanks for the follow up. Would be interested to see what freefilesync devs say, and fix this issue if possible.
