Also check the task in Task scheduler in case there are some unwanted things in that configuration

You could try modifying the FFS source code ...

There isn't a way to do that. You just have to let it stop on its own, then you can start the sync again. It will resume where it left off so you aren't having to redo all the tran…

You choose the locations yourself, it is not an issue with the program, it is an issue with how you set it up

Slowness has rarely, if ever, been caused by FFS. And FFS 13.2 just released, so I'm not sure what "lately" means. Try transferring the files manually and see what speeds it runs a…

Thank you for your answer, I know this method but that's not what I want/need because the name of the executable can change (and the extension can be different or no extension like…

It was manual. I did a Mirror, then tried an Update to see if it would clear the errors. No luck. Also, this is just backing up files from one internal hard drive to another intern…

And for your setup(s), copy your old [URL] -file(s) to the correct location(s) on your new computer. Note that each FFS-user on your old computer (if more than one) has its own Glo…

Is this error reproducible? I've seen Apache mail servers bounce back "without error details". It turns out, they do in fact return details, but inconveniently disguised as email t…

[Quote] Thanks for the tip. I changed it today and will keep an eye out to see if this solves the problem when I synchronise both external drives again in the future.

Click the "compare" button. This have been the behavior for a long time

Once you run a compare, you can use the "Overview" panel in the bottom-left to do this easily

I'm having some problems with my PC, among them is this new error from FFS on startup: Cannot write file "E:\Shares\Shared Media\sync.ffs_db.59da.ffs_tmp". ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND: Th…

If somebody were to bother to go through the steps required to convert the FreeFileSync package into a WD My Cloud app ([URL]) it could be done. A list of available apps for that s…

Sounds like the location doesn't support maintaining timestamps. Try copying the files over manually. If the timestamps aren't maintained during a manual copy, then can't use times…

You explained yourself well, thanks! I'm the one who only partially understood. But that's okay! However, by creating two different synchronizations to run separately, one after th…

I believe he's saying to run 10.22 (available here, [URL]). Then after that, install 13.1. 10.22 should convert your configuration files such that they should then work in 13.1. I'…

I am sorry. Let me clarify. I want to run this as a scheduled mirror. At this point I am doing it manually to make sure it works without errors. Which it does not, yet. How can I r…

UPDATE: Did all you said, but still the same, so it looks like it's not just related to FFS. I moved the NAS downstairs next to my pc and tried gain, it worked. So moved it back an…

Sorry. I just solved it. I resaved the Info job as a batch file (clicking the icon in the top right of FFS) & checkmarked "run minimized" & "autoclose". Now it's behaving.

Thank you so much for this info! I was struggling with extremely slow transfer from my Android device, and your comment about CX file explorer (which I happen to use) was a life sa…

xCSxXenon, Sorry but that's a very poor assumption. Just in the last year, I've successfully learned how to use Gimp, LibreCAD, QCAD, Inkscape, and others. Just because I worked wi…

Thank you, that seem to work.
