[Quote] Thats perfect, thank you for taking the time to let me know, cheers Dan

I love algorithm analysis, it's my bread & butter lol! Glad to see the change!

Yup, most 3rd party antivirus programs are complete junk. You should just remove it and stick with Microsoft security.

Did you found any solution ? Thank you

Where are you seeing this message and what version of FFS are you using?

Hi!! Windows defender started to detect one of the files from 11.13 & 11.18 version as a potential risk app. I had attached the message from this app Is there any problem on it? Th…

Deleted & reinstalled. That did it! Thanks for your help.

I would say: Click - no confirmation hotkey - ask for confirmation

Thank you! I have set the access timeout to 30s and works fine now.

As the Onedrive and Google Drive apps are no longer supported on my older MacOS I am using FreeFileSync Donation Edition to sync with them in the cloud, after running an app Cloudm…

Thanks! It didn't occur to me to change the batch script "under the covers" after it had already been specified as part of the job. Makes total sense as a better workaround. But ..…

You can select network location in FFS, You should look up how to set up network shares and then jump here to work with FFS

Am a newbie.. I synched my photos folder from one external drive to another external drive. When I do a "tag search" in the target external drive none of the tagged photos appear (…

I run multiple RTS configs fine You can run multiple sync configs at the same time, manually or with Task Scheduler Read the documentation

I used the search function in the forum, I didn't realize there was a specific topic in the manual My apologizes!! Thanks a lot for your time, very helpful Have a nice time

You will probably not be successful in relocating sectors. You can look into 'ddrescue' if you are serious and there really isn't important data on it anyway. Drive quality is not …

Can you browse to the network shares in File explorer? It's the exact same syntax that FFS uses so either both work or neither work. Mapping the share can help as well.

Maybe a trace ([URL]) could shed some light. Could be some third-party app (like AV) that is injecting itself into the copy routine while corrupting the real error code.

This is becoming a bit of a case of: You can lead a horse to the water, but you can't force it to drink ...

Now i see, the link in the E-Mail had to be pushed again. That leads to the website where the download for all OS can be started again and contains the right installer and .key fil…

The separate program is a cloud uploader. I keep A as my local backup, and use B as my temp folder. Since all files in B get processed then deleted, unfortunately the Exclude filte…

Like what?

Hi miciolampo89, your environment variables are not visible to RealTimeSync (RTS). Here the steps required to get RTS to work. 1) Make sure that the environment variables are visib…

Run a chkdsk on that drive then. Especially if you had a power loss, chkdsk is a good idea

I have no Internet at home. I did have 'Check automatically...' enabled, but leaving DC open did not result in any message. I then manually checked for updates at which point I did…

Exception: ".ffs_tmp" files are FFS's own temporary files (see fail-safe file copy). They will always be deleted when remaining from a prior (crashed!?) sync.

I have observed the same issue. I noticed that the "scan" phase of the comparison says it is using "2 threads" which I suspect overwhelms the WebDAV driver. Yet, I do not see any s…

VMWare workstation 16.2.3 no longer has this issue. Thank you for your support.

These are unrelated errors as far as FFS is concerned. "retry" shouldn't consider errors that weren't shown beforehand. Solutions? • Maybe aggregate all errors "at a time" (what do…

Glad it works! Spaces and backslashes are completely independent. A space is just a space but a backslash denotes a directory traversal in this case. "C:\Batch\BatchRun.ffs_batch" …

I really wish MTP would get an overhaul or some kind of workaround, it's a shame. I somehow found a USB 3.0 cable plugged into a 3.0 hub, plugged into a 2.0 extension, plugged into…

Basically, select update instead of mirror.

yes did it.

Hi sorry for the delay. I did try uninstalling and reinstalling FFS. I also did a scrub on the partition from Linux, and I did check and reapply uid, gid and permissions. Nothing w…

Gotcha! It may be worth restarting the router

Since about 2+ Weeks, it looks like FFS is not able to retrieve file attributes from my myCloud instance error message: ERROR_CANT_ACCESS_FILE ...... [GetFileAttributes] so far, I …

That error code just means the task is already running... What step does "when ran" refer to? When the task starts on system startup, or when FFS is started by RTS?

There is no beta version. You will need to uninstall and reinstall the latest full release.

How do you know the db file is what caused the RTS trigger? Check the FFS log to see what it actually did.

Or, if you know there won't be any issues with idle time being too short or overlap, you can make batch configs with multiple folder pairs. I have a RTS setup that monitors a sourc…

Figured out. I had a startup at shell:startup. Silly me... Thanks guys.

The "="-field shows the files that are equal between the left and right side. Or in other words, there are 1979 (after deletion: 1978) left-right file pairs that are equal (e.g. in…

You can try using the FFS [URL] feature. For deletions that are part of a normal FFS sync, this works flawlessly. However, I am not sure (never tried ...) it also works for deletio…
