As long as you saved the configurations as .ffs_gui or .ffs_batch files, the settings won't be changed. Sometimes, you may need to "open" them in FFS again. If you didn't save them…

Awesome!

^ Exactly right It is because the file name and info is there locally, but since that "Files On-Demand" is on, the file itself isn't downloaded locally yet.

Sounds like you want continuous syncing. Read the manual, look into RTS

It's been like that for years. Never mind, thanks for your very speedy response, I'll look for another way of doing things.

[Quote] Hi Zenju - thanks for the reply! Sounds good. I will try it after the release... I found a workaround this weekend: I created a "sync job" on another PC (Windows) with Goog…

Dear Zenju, sorry for bothering you again with a very old issue of FFS. I was still using FFS 7.9 on my old MacBookPro with OS 10.9.5 (Mavericks) to avoid the alias problem. But no…

x-terminal-emulator just starts qterminal. On a standard Lubuntu system, qterminal and x-terminal-emulator are apparently the only terminals found in /usr/bin.

Found the problem and it's Windows related: In Task Scheduler: - Create the Task as instructed in the video. - On the General Tab - the Author line (Domain/Username) must match > S…

Thanx for a reply. The only way I could get into this problem is to use "versioning" . Using that, I set it up to "replace" so that files deleted during the sync would be moved to …

Interesting. The original directory must have had some permissions blocking it

You can run FFS from command line. Just put that command in the batch script [URL]

The FFS folder gets added to the exclusions list in Windows Security in my experience

Running as a scheduled task is the only way it will work. RTS won't start counting its idle time until the directory is left alone

You can remove old activations from your unique donation link

It will not work that way

What are the locations?

For reference: time_t(-11644444800) = "1601-01-01 8:00:00 GMT" = FILETIME(288000000000)

That fixed the issue. Thanks

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I was wrong. I have followed your recommendation. It is solved. Regards, JC

Hi PIerry, thanks again for your feedback. I agree that your second bullet is the easiest solution. Unfortunately I do not think it will work for me, because: imagine having 3 FFS …

I've done some tests and as you said it does not duplicate the replication. Again many thanks for your prompt help.

Thanks Plerry for your response. Now I have to work out the best way of making files accessible!

Of course!

What is "E:\"?

You can check why FFS proposes to sync said files. See e.g. [URL]. Or perhaps this is a [URL].

[Quote] many thanks for the help

Windows problem, not a FFS problem. Network sharing issues have a huge amount of possible issues.

You have two sources, F:\ and F:\videos. Exclude \Videos from the sync with F:\ as the source

I believe this "close" option was used in an old FFS version, so that might explain the symptoms.

I very recently contributed (donated) to free file sync as I really appreciate this program. However, after using it I notice three separate unrelated instances where a directory n…
