Arrow keys + photo viewer work for me when started from FFS.

For a few months now I've had a problem with FFS hanging while deleting files from the temporary "RecycleBin.xxxx.ffs_tmp" folder on the target drive. The backup seems to be going …

I did and it worked. Thanks for the quick response and fix!

FreeFileSync 9.10: Remember maximum number of visible folder pairs Let me know if there are any issues: [URL]

The 14 Jul 2017 post helped me solve my problem!

When I sync two folder (one in PC and the other on USB key) files double appear: same dimension of original with a final number between brackets after file extension (e.g. autochia…

I still don't think I understand this properly. I am of course experiencing the same thing, so I have set my idle time to 10, and I'll see if I can live with it for a time, as anyt…

I'm trying to do a mirror from c:\users\guy to \\server\bup\guy. I'm using FFS 9.9 (Donation version) and Windows 7 (both machines). I filtered the appdata folder, which was the on…

OK, please consider this an enhancement request. With %env_vars% we can change one var to completely change how a sync profile works. Right now I have to create lots of profiles th…

[Quote] Hi, Thank you it worked. Regards, JP

Hello Plerry, yes i know that and ffs runs with an user-account with admin privileges, or with the user "system". The Error-Messages are reproducible and i think i should be on all…

These suggestions would be helpful. One critical error I've noticed in a lot of user manuals is that they assume users know much more than they actually do know.

In my eyes "Mirror" is the most used option because regular people use FFS mainly for direct backups. Two way syncing is restricted to "the magic apple cloud" *rolleyes* However, a…

I'm pretty sure what @malcolmp was dealing with was what I mention on this [URL]

When I try to copy files from Windows to my Android 8.1 phone's internal storage, the file's "date modified" metadata cannot be migrated over properly. Instead, the "date modified"…

Good to know! Thank you for that.

Is it possible for RTS to record a log every X minutes? I need to be sure that the RTS is alive and working well

well... anyway... although I haven't figured out what made the time shift occur, I did discover that in the settings for sync scans, you can set the time stamp difference to ignore…

thank you. If it possible, can Zenju comment my problem with speed? This is really a problem with the latest versions or is it a feature of new versions and can not be recovered

Will be fixed in the next release, thanks.

The folders I get for backup are read-only so the database file can not be written, so the backup is slow. Is it possible to decide to save the database on a different directory?

The solution is to simply remove the FTP folder in RTS. There is no such thing as FTP change notifications, hence the error message.

"Galaxy S8 +\Card" is obviously not the same folder as "Galaxy S8 +\Stockage amovible"

Oh, ok. Then I will have to investigate in this. What can I do to find out, why ffs hangs?

Error Code 393: The cloud operation was aborted. [CopyFileEx]

Hi, Thank you for your explanation

I found the folder. It was titled 'RecycleBin.ffs_tmp' and it was in the host computer's 'Recycle Bin'. I'll have another question related to moving/syncing these files back. Will …

Look into using [URL]. Note: only possible while running FFS with admin rights.

Hi! I come back with the same question because I don't really understand: Is there a way to keep osx tags when syncing from HFS+ to HFS+ ? Thank you

Thanks :)

It's all ok. I redownloaded the installer and was able to install it without any problems.

RFS was running just fine for several hours (2 different RFS batch jobs running) But then suddenly one of the the RFS stopped syncing. I deliberately would change a file in the sou…

interesting... so this we know already: - first, FFS has nothing to do with it, it's a windows problem (as reflected in DOS, the "real" name did not change, and so FFS correctly on…

I'm wondering if this was caused by a remnant of MalWareBytes where I inadvertently agreed to a trial subscription of their "Real-Time Protection". It is now scanning something lik…

I just tried again, and I was not able to reproduce the error either. It seems like FreeFileSync is not the problem, but probably Filezilla Server. Yesterday I changed the server's…

thanks to you. Now it works perfectly. Thanks again

Hi I would be interested too to run FFS on ARM, please is there any good news ? thanks

Old question, but I have the same one. The files I'm trying to sync are database files (R>L, to an external HDD) and their modified date only seems to change once in a while. I now…

Recently I detected a problem with my backup synchronization. I have a database which is updated frequently. My present file date is February 20 2018. Now I made a mistake with the…

Or is this just the difference between syncing over wifi and an ethernet connection?

Hello, on Windows XP, there is no button with cloud icon for remote access.

I ran a sync using FreeFileSyncPortable (6.2) and the 'Update' setting and it deleted a bunch of my files. Looks like I found the files on the originating computer's 'recycle bin' …

Hello Zenju, thanks for responding. I think you're right, I just re-installed version 9.7 and it gave me the same error. Another thing I noticed: yesterday night, FreeFileSync comp…

Good day On my laptop top I do have part of a server directory with originally hundred of files. While I'm travelling (off line) I may work on some files; which I want to sync with…

Technically, this is data corruption on the server: The ’ character is returned in ANSI encoding, while the server announced to return UTF8, which is what FFS then expects.

I have just installed FFS and set up my sync requirements and done the 1st sync. Does FFS now run in the background (if I close it) comparing & updating every x seconds or must I l…

I found a way to reverse it and will from now on use "Versionierung"

FreeFileSync is now DPI-aware! Let me know if there are any issues: [URL]

Sync over Boxcryptor Drive is very slow. Just 0.5 to 1 file per second. The Multiple Connections option of FFS is not possible since i'm syncing to a "local" drive.
