Sounds like "G" is failing or has a spotty cable

I've searched but can't find a suggestion for this feature, running on Windows. Specifically, I'd find it useful to be able to add a sorting feature to the post-sync log screen, in…

hi I don't want to be log file created if Info: Nothing to synchronize, or source folder cannot be found. Was that possible? Only want to ffs create log file if something in source…

Using full paths seems to be a common error that FFS could detect and also fix in most cases. Implemented for the next version: [Attachment] [URL]

Ok, I read more and got the answer to my Q. Both modes are possible, very easily. FFS is the best!!

As long as they can see each other in File Explorer, FFS will work

Yes, It was set to "Follow" but for some reason it didn't work. I've tried few days later and it has synched as expected. Thank you for answering.

That is how we use it actual, but it would be for other users more comfortable if it is chooseable due to the dropdown menu like shutdown actual is. Greetings from Berlin

That's pretty much it. Thank you very much.

...unless the exclusion is applied *after* comparison, in which case excluded files are included in the list. FFS doesn't throw away information it already has (but has to during c…

I think your first "Compressed.png" layout looks great. That particular set of buttons is overly large, IMO, and I would prefer they were the same size as the configuration buttons…

If you drag and drop a shortcut on the main window, FFS will automatically fill in the shortcut's target. I'm not sure if FFS should go even further and accept shortcuts as input p…

For the record, there is no need to delete corrupted database files manually. FFS will do this automatically during the next sync, after showing the error message: [URL]

Sure. If using "Mirror", make sure to restore the data to the new computer before setting up the backup again or the new empty desktop with mirror and delete the backup. You could …

Hi. Just found this thread through the search, I too would like to be able to either parse .gitignore or have something like .ffsignore to make exclusions easier to manage. I'm afr…

Thank you for the information. I found it and edited the GlobalSettings.xml file. Why isn't this option in the GUI? It seems like it is something that I should be able to just put …

What do you think?

Why for the first folder shown it does not have it's own line (python\lib\site-packages) (on the left side), but for the others, they have their own line?

Almost certainly, these files starting with ~$ are temporary MS-office "backup"-files of each file that was open in MS-Office at the time of running the FFS sync. You can exclude t…

Chances are good we might be able to work around this issue: [Quote] [URL]

Syncovery definitely can do it… though I‘d love to see FFS having it implemented. Syncovery is way slower for me and so I‘m always doing a first run with FFS and then a second one …

Tags don't get synced. On the first "sync", they do only because it's writing it for the first time. If you change a tag on its own, it won't sync. If you were to change the tag an…

I use and support multiple ( 4 or 5 ) copies of FFS. I frequently use Windows TaskScheduler to launch FFS. These jobs run on computers I don't access frequently ( sometimes days/we…

Unfortunately these false-positives after a new release are "normal". They will be gone once enough users have downloaded, e.g. after a day or so and the file has earned enough "re…

It is not currently possible.

There's may posts about safe ways to detect moved/renamed files. I just wanted to comment that having the option to compare with file size (already available) and syncrhonize filen…

Many thanks xCSxXenon , this helps a lot
